Amrita Chennai offers two M.Tech specializations:

Computer Science & Engineering

VLSI Engineering 

However, Mechanical specialisation (Thermal & Fluids Engineering) is not listed for the Chennai campus—but it's available at Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses as part of their M.Tech offerings .

In GATE XE (Engineering Sciences), Thermodynamics is one of the optional sections (XE-E), but admissions for M.Tech are usually branch-specific (like Mechanical, Thermal, Energy Engineering).

GATE is an entrance exam for M.Tech in various NIT's and IIT's. For general category the minimum score required to get into one of the top IIT's or NIT's for Mtech is in the range of60-70 out of 100. Well the specific cut off's for each university will be released once the results for GATE are officially announced.

Yes, RGUKT (IIIT Basara): Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies offers M.Tech course in various specialisations to candidates. The duration for this course is two years and it is offered in full-time mode at the university. Candidates must ensure fullfilling the eligibility criteria before applying for admission to avoid rejection of the application form. Admissions to this course are merit-based. 

RGUKT (IIIT Basara): Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies offers three specialisations under M.Tech course to the candidates. These include- Computer Science and Engineering,  Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Computational Mechanics in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates can choose the one which best suits their interest and apply for the same online on the official website or offline by contacting the admission office of the university.

To get an admission in M.Tech at DY Patil University Navi Mumbai you must hold a B.E/B.Tech degree in a relevant engineering fields with minimum marks of 50% and 45% for reserved catagories. There is also an entrance exam of DY Patil University for PG for which is called DYPRAIT-PG. You can get admission through this exam also

To be eligible for the M.Tech programme at IIT BHU the aspiring candidates need to have a minimum of 60% in BTech. Aspirants with a score equal to or more than the cutoff also have to go through a counselling round. Once selected, aspirants have to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.
