The National Institute of Fashion Technology entrance test, administered by NIFT Shillong, is the sole exam accepted for admission to a number of undergraduate, and PG programmes at NIFT Shillong. Situation tests and in-person interviews are used to make the final shortlist. 

Whether MFTech is better or MFM depends on your field of interest. While the Master of Fashion Management (MFM) is more inclined towards the Fashion Business and Management, the Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) teaches the technical elements of Fashion, such as garment production, textile science, and quality control. 
So, if you want to get into the marketing and business part of the Fashion industry, you can choose MFM. However, if the Engineering part of the Design industry excites you, then go for MFTech.

There are total 719 seats in NIFT 2025 M.F.M programme.

The  NIFT Personal Interviews for M.Des and M.F.M. will be conducted on  May 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and June 2 and 3, 2025. The Exams will be conducted in Delhi. The Call Letter is released on the official website.

The requirement for MFM at NIFT Bhopal is a recognised graduate degree from a university or a three-year undergraduate Diploma in NIFT or NID. No particular stream is restricted. The candidates should also pass the NIFT Entrance Examination. Final choice is through counselling.
