No, you cannot take direct admission at NIFT Mumbai. The college offers merit-based admission based on the scores in NIFT exam. NIFT Mumbai accepts entrance exam of NIFT which has two written test: CBT based GAT (General Ability Test) and paper-pen mode CAT (Creatiev Ability Test). For UG courses it is followed by Situation Test and for PG courses it is followed by Personal Interview round.

NIFT Mumbai offers entrance-based admission. The registration window foe NIFT entrance exam is closed now. The application window ran from December 8, 2025, to January 19, 2026 (with late fees). The entrance exam for 2026 was conducted on February 8, 2026, and results for Stage 1 are expected in April 2026 .
