No, NIFT Mumbai BDes admissions are strictly entrance-based. For BDes admissions, the institute conducts its own entrance exam, i.e., NIFTEE. Thus, students seeking admission to this programme must have a valid NIFTEE score. This exam is divided into two parts, namely General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). Students who qualify these tests are also required to appear for a subsequent Situation Test. Based on NIFTEE scores, students are ranked and allocated a seat. Moreover, the students must also fulfil the eligibility requirements prescribed by the institute.
