The cutoff for 2023 year was between rank 80 for fashion communication and rank 191 for fashion design.
The cutoff for 2022,2021 and 2020 has also been in this range with a plus minus of 10 ranks.
If you want to get admission in any course of your choice then you should target a rank of top100.

NIFT Mumbai has not so good placements. Only a few students i.e. 10 percent get campus placements. The rest try for off-campus placements or start their own venture. Calvin Klein, Tanishq, Godrej, Infosys, Marks and Spencer, Pantaloon, Raymond, Reliance Retail, Spykar are some of the recruiting companies that visit for placements.

Admission to NIFT's MBA programme depends on various factors beyond the entrance exam score, such as the number of applicants, available seats, and the competition in a given year. While securing 88% in the NIFT Entrance Exam is a good score, the final admission depends on the overall performance and the cutoff for the MBA programme at NIFT Mumbai that year. It's advisable to check the previous year's cutoff scores and participate in the counselling process to have a clearer idea of your chances for admission.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Mumbai is well-regarded for its fashion design and technology programs. It is ranked highly for its fashion design, fashion technology, and design programs by various ranking agencies such as India Today and The Week. However, opinions on placements vary, with some reviews mentioning underwhelming offers and below-average placements. Therefore, while NIFT Mumbai is highly ranked for its academic programs, the assessment of whether it is the "best" in Mumbai may depe
