Yes, you can appear for GATE. To be eligible for GATE exam, you need to have Bachelors degree in engineering/technology. Masters degree holders in any branch of science/ mathematics/ statistics/ computer applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs.

This course is open to all MA (Mass Communication & Journalism, Communication & MCJ) graduates with NET (JRF) qualification. The full-time programme requires students to stay on the campus and complete their research within five years. Admission to the Ph.D programme is through an all India Entrance Test.
