Once a candidate has applied to the university and submitted all the required documents, it takes the university about 2 weeks to evaluate applications. Students must note that they need to fulfill all the UT Tyler Texas entry requirements in order to get admitted in the university.

University of Texas at Tyler offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses both on-campus and in the online mode. In order to pursue the UT Tyler University MBA, all the applicants must fulfill the eligibility criteria listed below:
- Official academic transcripts with graduation date (English translation);
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university;
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher;
- GMAT score;
- Proof of English language proficiency; and
- 3 or more years of managerial work experience (only for the Executive MBA Healthcare Management Program (EMBA HCM).
