VMOU BEd Admission 2025: The Vardhman Mahaveer Open Univesity, Kota (VMOU KOTA) offers admission into the B.Ed program through the PTET exam. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria can apply for the PTET exam and get admission into the BEd courses. For the 2024 session, VMOU Kota was the exam conducting authority of the PTET exam.

However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the B.Ed program is five years. The varsity conducts admission for the program in two cycles: January and July. VMOU conducts a B.Ed Entrance Exam for granting B.Ed admission to eligible candidates. It is an offline (Pen-Paper Based) examination, conducted in both English and Hindi medium. Eligibility Criteria:

For seeking admission to the VMOU B.Ed program, an interested candidate needs to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility requirements:

  • Candidates with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ ST candidates) either in the bachelor’s degree and/ or in the master’s degree in Science/ Arts/ Commerce stream are eligible to apply, or
  • Graduates in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate(50% for SC/ ST candidates)or equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply, or
  • BSTC/ D.EI.Ed graduates with one year of teaching experience are any of the classes from 1-8.

VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam:

The admission to the BEd course in VMOU is done based on the PTET exam however, VMOu also conducts its entrance exam. The VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam is OMR-based and it consists of 150 questions. Every question carries three marks, therefore, the total exam is 450 marks. For every wrong answer, there is a negative markdown. Candidates are given a three-hour duration to complete the exam. The pattern of the entrance exam is tabulated below:

VMOU application process for the B.Ed program is available in online mode. The steps to fill VMOU application form 2025 are listed below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of VMOU (www.vmou.ac.in). On its homepage, click on ‘Admission’.

Step 2: Further, click on 'Apply Now' to proceed with the application form filling in online mode.

Step 3: Read the admission guidelines carefully and approve the declaration. Click on 'I agree' to proceed with application form filling.

Step 4: Proceed with the first page of the VMOU application form 2025 by addressing details, including name, address of communication, nationality, gender, guardian details, mobile number, email ID, etc. Hit the 'Save & Next' button once done.

Step 5: Further, fill in all the academic qualification details starting from Class 10 to the last qualifying degree/ exam.

Step 6: Upload all the necessary documents in PDF format. Also, upload a recent passport-size photograph in JPG/ JPEG format (up to 50 kb).

Step 7: Review the filled application form and approve the declaration. Click on 'Submit' to proceed to the last step of the VMOU application process 2025.

Step 8: Conclude the application process by paying the complete course fee through the SBI payment gateway using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

VMOU B.Ed Seat Reservation 2025

The University grants reservation to its B.Ed program as per the norms set by the Rajasthan government. Seats are reserved for working/ retired/ dismissed defense category students as per NCTE norms. The University has also reserved one seat for Kashmiri migrants. Apart from seat reservation, VMOU offers a 5% relaxation on minimum eligibility criteria for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD/ female candidates.

No, the PTET  (Pre-Teacher Eligibility Test) OMR sheet cannot be sent for rechecking or re-evaluation, as there is no provision for it. The results based on the OMR response are considered final, and candidates are advised to mark their answers carefully during the exam to avoid errors
