Good faculty, average placements, vast and best infrastructure.

Placements: More than 50% of my seniors got their placements after doing their internships. The highest package was 20 LPA, and the average package was 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Amazon and Deloitte. For internships, my seniors received a stipend of around 20k as junior data scientists.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are air-conditioned and well-equipped with benches and chairs. We are provided with high-speed Wi-Fi accessible to students. We have labs filled with facilities, and a vast library with books from different authors. The hostel is kind of strict with the rules and is not lenient. We have three canteens, all of which are hygiene-maintained. The food is also good, with a large variety.

Faculty: All the faculty members hold doctorates in their respective subjects. They use different materials such as projectors, PPTs, and PDFs. The course curriculum is relevant, and we have already learned two languages. The faculty teaches on a broad basis, preparing us for interviews. We have internal examinations as well as external ones, and we have separate practical examinations. Viva sessions are also held from class to class.

Other: I chose this course because it is a blooming industry. Data Science is the future of the twenty-first century. We have two main events held, namely Sangathan and Amiphoria. They are a series of events filled with healthy competition, fun, and laughter. I would want some more rapid sessions, hackathons, etc., to be held.

We have good infrastructure and facilities in the Department of Geography at Amity University.

Placements: Being a passout of 2023, B.Sc. At batch, we were not provided any placement opportunities. While students of other departments studying bachelor's we are given placement opportunities, the department of geography only provides placement for master's students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure received during our course was not just top-notch, but also relevant to our needs and requirements. The university has a centralized AC system, with Wi-Fi facilities available for every student. Most importantly, it has a spacious library which can be used by both day scholars as well as hostellers. The hostel provided to students was also quite well-maintained and spacious. The hostel students and day scholars have access to canteens which has pretty decent food. Sports are taken very seriously in Amity, and the students are encouraged to take part in the sports week competitions.

Faculty: The course provided a very detailed study on geography as a subject. This type of curriculum is very relevant for the current job requirements and scenarios. Professors are polite and knowledgeable. Practicals are taken very seriously, and the attendance of every student is compulsory. Timely checking of practical copies is also done. The exams are also held timely and if a student attends all the lectures, he won't find it difficult to score well in his examinations. The pass percentage required is 40%.

Other: The Department of Geography makes you future-ready for your master's. The curriculum was not just detailed but also relevant and not outdated. And new applications in the subject were added immediately to the curriculum. The only thing that the department lacks is a proper field excursion for the students. It is required for gaining ground knowledge. Events and fests are very popular in Amity. One can join any club among the various clubs provided by Amity. Amity also provides scholarships to its promising students.
