Good placements last year, very good infrastructure, hotel-like hostels, and supportive staff.
Placements: Last year, the highest placement was a package of 1 crore in Germany. Top recruiting companies include CSIR, IISc, IITs, and CDRI. Currently, students are mainly allowed to apply for internships in NGOs. Top roles offered include Biomedical Scientist, Cancer Researcher, and Biomedical AI roles.
Infrastructure: Everything is top class in terms of infrastructure. There are high-tech labs, modern classrooms, and hotel-like hostels. The new hostels are very pretty. Each room is shared by four students, with one bathroom, one toilet, and a common lobby. The food is fine, but you have to pay for it every time you buy. The mess fee is not included in the hostel fee.
Faculty: People think Amity is not good for studies, but it is otherwise once you join. Teachers are highly qualified and regularly publish research papers in reputed international institutions. Exams are neither very easy nor very difficult and are often unpredictable. The college does not focus only on core subjects but also includes communication and foreign language skills.
Other: I always wanted to pursue a career in Biology and medical line, so I chose Biomedical Science. I wish for certain teachers to be changed, nothing much. Events, fests, campus life, and everything are very fun. A lot of events and co-curricular activities are organized along with the academic plan in mind. Hostels have separate activities to keep hostel students entertained. It includes movie nights, DJ nights, and inter-hostel events.
