In 2023, a bachelor's degree with 50% of the required marks for the general category and 45% for the reserved category will qualify an applicant for an MBA at Annamalai University Distance Education. The selection criteria consist of the grades earned in a bachelor's degree and the entrance exam grades, or TANCET scores. The MBA programme offers two years of study with the following specializations: financial management, hospital management, business analytics and business intelligence, marketing management, human resource management, and information systems. The course cost is INR 58,260 per year, and the application process is online.

Annamalai University DDE offers BFA at the undergraduate (UG) level and MA, MBA, MCom, MFA, MSc, and MSW courses at the Postgraduate (PG) level. Candidates who are interested in getting admission to UG or PG courses offered by this university can apply by visiting the official website. AUDDE Admission portal will be expected to open on 01 January 2024. Students can apply for UG admission program-level courses if they have a 10+2 degree in the relevant subject from a university that is known to be good. Admission to courses in UG programs is based only on merit. For PG-level courses, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a university that is recognized. To get into the PG Diploma program, students must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% mark.

Interested applicants also need to pay a course-specific application fee to conclude the application process. The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.
