Globally, Annamalai University is ranked 166 by the QS Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia category 2024 and 551-600 by the QS Asian University Rankings 2024. Annamalai University Chidambaram was established in 1929 as per Annamalai University Act 1928 and is accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council ). Annamalai University offers distance education courses to students through its Directorate of Distance Education. The Directorate of Distance Education is accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC. Hence, Annamalai University is good for pursuing Distance MBA course.

TANCET results are accepted by Annamalai University Distance Education for admission to its MBA program; additionally, applicants must have earned at least 50% of their bachelor's degree in the general category and 45% in the reserved category. The MBA programme offers two years of study with the following specializations: financial management, hospital management, business analytics and business intelligence, marketing management, human resource management, and information systems. The course cost is INR 58,260 per year, and the application process is online.

Annamalai University MCA cutoff 2025 was released for General and OBC categories under the AI quota. For the students belonging to the General AI quota, the TANCET required cutoff score was 1811. In the OBC category, the cutoff score was 2523.

With less than 50% in graduation it is difficult to get admission in Annamalai University for MBA course. The minimum marks required for the same is 50%. You can contact the admission office for more details. 

The online/distance degrees offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education at Annamalai University are valid. Previously, the University Grants Commission (UGC) did not approve its courses starting from 2015. However, Annamalai University DDE  received relief from the Madras High Court in an order dated 21.01.2023. Subsequently, following a reassessment by the UGC, Annamalai DDE achieved a qualifying score of 3.38, which led to extending the validity of its programmes until 2027.
