PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY HOSTS ‘FLUX 2026’, SCHOOL OF DESIGN SHINES

The Design School at Presidency University in Bengaluru hosted its design exhibition called Flux 2026, which provided an interactive experience to visitors who came to see the student work. The four-day programme included curated walkthroughs and workshops for school groups & pre-university students, as well as students from other design schools.

The Design School at Presidency University in Bengaluru hosted its design exhibition called Flux 2026, which provided an interactive experience to visitors who came to see the student work. The four-day programme included curated walkthroughs and workshops for school groups & pre-university students, as well as students from other design schools, to give them an idea about the kind of practical learning one does at the Presidency School of Design.

The event called Flux 2026 showed different types of creative artistic work, existing abilities and new technology developments. More than 150 students from the Bachelor of Design program which includes communication design, space design, game design, fashion design and game design as well as B.Sc. Multimedia program showcased their semester work at the Experiential Week. The exhibition allowed approximately 45 B.Des foundation students to show their creative work. The four-day event attracted over 1000 attendees who included faculty members, domain experts, parents and other visitors.

The exhibition featured an impressive collection of artworks, sketches, products, design projects and working prototypes through which artists displayed their complete creative work. The display showed all the creative work which artists completed from their first year to their fourth year of study. The event served multiple functions beyond displaying artworks. Students had the unique opportunity to present their work, engage with peers and receive direct feedback. The event saw the attendance of notable individuals, including Mr Janak Mistry, Mr Sundar Subramaniam, Mr Arvind Lodya, Mr Mahesh Rao from the Environmental Management & Policy Research Institute (EMPRI), and representatives from the Furniture and Fittings Skills Council (FFSC).

The FFSC representatives visited to explore potential collaborations in the areas of industry engagement, curriculum alignment, and skill development. FLUX is a major academic event in the calendar of the Presidency School of Design. The institution maintains its dedication to educational methods that emphasise hands-on learning together with fundamental academic procedures. The exhibition positioned the School as a dynamic learning environment by fostering meaningful engagement with schools, parents, and the broader design community. FLUX will develop into a continuous platform which will introduce new interdisciplinary research partnerships, together with industry collaboration and public outreach activities in its upcoming editions. The students who took part in FLUX developed their exhibition design skills through spatial communication training and public presentation practice, and peer learning activities, together with teamwork and coordination development.
