M.A. in Social Work - Batch of 2026
4.0
Good green luscious campus.
Placements: 20% of students got placed. It's a government college, so it doesn't provide much placement. It is good for the engineering and MBA batches, but for the non-technical batches, it is not that great. There is a placement cell working which provides jobs to the students, but with limited capacity.
Infrastructure: I don't stay in the hostel, but my friends do, so they said it's a pretty good hostel with good Wi-Fi. Everything is good. In the boys' hostel, you will get charged per food meal, and the girls' hostels are pretty clean with good food for the students, and the Wi-Fi works very well.
Faculty: If you study well, the pass percentage is pretty high. All the teachers here hold a doctoral degree, so by that, you can figure out the level of intellectual present. The class regularity depends on the course you are studying in, but people get good percentages here.
Other: The campus is really beautiful. You have many departments and people from different cultures, it's really nice.

My journey of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: In my course, 20–25% of students get placed. The average package is 8–9 LPA, and the highest package is 12–14 LPA. Every recruiting company comes like L&T, Godrej. 100% internship is offered to students in private companies and also in the public sector. The main role offered is HR role.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in my department are very good. Facilities like smart classes, library, labs, and research rooms are available. Hostel facility is also available. Hostels are allotted on the basis of merit. Food quality of mess is quite good. Taste is also good.
Faculty: Professors and faculty members are very helpful and supportive. They are very good in nature. Their teaching quality is fabulous. This course makes students ready for corporate work-life. The difficulty level of examinations is moderate to high. The passing percentage is 40% in each subject.
Other: I chose this course because in the current time HRM is a very demanding profession. So it helps me to compete in the future. Along with academics, fests and extracurricular activities are also organised on our campus which enhance and boost students’ skills in many fields.

The college is good and cooperative.
Placements: 20 percent of students get placed in my course. The highest package offered is 20 LPA. The lowest package offered is Rs. 72,000 per annum. The average package offered is 1.5 LPA. UGC NET JRF is top recruiting company. 60 percent of students got internships from many companies and banks.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the hostel are very good. Wi-Fi facility, computer labs, classrooms, and the library are available in my college. The quality of facilities in my hostel is very good. The quality of food in the mess is likely home food. Sports, gym, and other facilities are also available in my college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is 100 percent.

Picturesque campus environment, the campus crowd quality is very poor.
Placements: The percentage of students getting directly placed is nonexistent for my course. No companies visit our college to recruit from the Bachelor of Arts students. Though the professors are very helpful with their market connections. If we reach out to them regarding internships and placements, they are always ready to help and write recommendations based on academic merit to aid the students. The roles we can get mainly focus on creative marketing roles.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are always maintained and available. Be it Wi-Fi, classrooms, labs, or library, everything is set up in such a way that it always helps the students in their academic life. The sports facilities are a bit aged but well-maintained. The hostel culture is very cohesive. The present seniors and hostel administrators are always ready to help as much as they can. The food is palatable. The best thing is the medical services provided. They are top of the line and completely free.
Faculty: The teachers are always helpful, be it in the classroom or outside it. We can always reach out to them via WhatsApp or email, and they make sure to always reply. The teachers are obviously beyond qualified and very knowledgeable. The course is relevant. Though it is questionable if the course helps in making students industry-ready. The semester exams are moderately hard. Regular class participation and taking notes are mostly enough to score well in exams. The pass percentage is 40 percent in each subject and overall for each semester.
Other: I chose this course to later on help me break into the luxury market. I plan to do an MBA eventually and feel that this knowledge will give me a unique edge. I think our course should have more outreach and better market contacts. The campus crowd is mostly fine, though sometimes it gets politically charged. Fests happen with much extravaganza and are very inclusive for all. Systems are in place to help students avail scholarships, though most of them are focused on income metrics and not merit metrics. Extracurricular activities are plentiful and varied throughout the campus.

Review of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Almost 80%, but students preferred a Master's. Top recruiters are Akash Institute and Physics Wallah. Banaras Hindu University offers very good practical facilities for students. Some students also clear the IIT JAM examination and choose IIT for further studies.
Infrastructure: There is a very good environment in the hostel. Sports events also happen in the Brocha hostel. Brocha and Ramakrishna are the names of the B.Sc. Hons boys' hostels in Banaras Hindu University. There are also hostel facilities for girls. In the hostel, Wi-Fi and library facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful for studies and practical work at Banaras Hindu University. There are also field activities that occur in every department for students. Semester exams are quite tough, and this is helpful for students to handle pressure and manage themselves.
Other: A huge number of events happen. They encourage the students to pursue further studies.

B.Sc. Botany (Hons.) at BHU.
Placements: Though the B.Sc. Botany course at BHU does not offer direct placements, it provides an excellent foundation for higher studies and research. Along with Botany, subjects like Chemistry and Zoology or Chemistry and Geology are also taught, which is very beneficial. This multidisciplinary approach helps a lot in competitive examinations.
Infrastructure: The hostels are best-in-class and worth every penny spent. They provide unlimited Wi-Fi with a multi-device connection option. There is no strict restriction on entry and exit in the boys’ hostel, and hygiene is well maintained. One hostel has a capacity of 300 students, while another accommodates around 800 students.
Faculty: The curriculum is good but slightly hectic. The practical sessions conducted in classes are top-notch and well-structured. The exam papers truly test your thinking ability and conceptual understanding. Join this course only if you have strong willpower and determination; otherwise, you may find it challenging.
