B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029
Offered by Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi
4.4

The best college for placements.
Placements: Around 60-70 percent of students are placed in this course. Almost everyone chooses non-core jobs over core jobs due to the very low placement package in core jobs. The highest package is 51 LPA, and the average is around 18 LPA. The companies Indian Oil Corporation, BASF, ONGC, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very modern. The Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The classrooms, library, and labs are very calm without any disturbance. The hostels and mess are very neat. The college has a hospital. For sports, we have several grounds and a student activity centre.
Faculty: The teachers are very well educated and helpful. They make us think beyond the syllabus for deep understanding. This course is about process control and instrumentation, chemical relations, etc. This course is so much industry-related. The exams are a bit tough.

My college is the best in several things, like atmosphere and the study level.
Placements: There are no placements in the B.Sc. course, but in the M.Sc. course, placements take place. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Many recruiting companies visit the college to hire students for my course. Roles are offered by chemical companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is the best. My department has the biggest building in the whole university. There are many labs to perform practicals. There are the highest students in my course. The hostel is also good. There are 4 to 5 mess facilities, 3 canteens, and a playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They teach us in an energetic and very easy language. If we ask questions, then they answer all of those questions at any place. They also take extra classes if most students have doubts about the topic. Exams conducted are very good.
Other: I chose this course because I have a great interest in Chemistry from my school time. I love studying Chemistry. I think I need to improve my writing abilities in Chemistry, like less objective, more subjective, and teachers are also helping me with this topic.

Absolutely satisfied with the good faculty members and placements.
Placements: About 90 percent of the students in my course (mechanical branch) are placed. The highest package is 3.4 crore per annum. The lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. About 80 percent of students get internships in college. Top recruiting companies are HPCL and ISRO.
Infrastructure: The college has very good Wi-Fi. It has clean and well-equipped labs. There are very good, nice, and clean classrooms. The quality of the food is not that satisfying but somewhat okay. They mostly cook potatoes. The library is very good. Medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are very helpful, highly qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Exams are very difficult and simple if we study from the beginning. They are hard if we neglect them. The pass percentage highly depends on the subject professor.

Studying B.Sc. statistics at BHU: An in-depth personal review.
Placements: The placement in my course is in the Master's, so I can tell you about the Master's. So the percentage of students placed is 90 percent. The highest package offered is 16 LPA, with an average of around 10.8 LPA, and the lowest is around 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are EY, Accenture, Dell, and JSS. Top roles offered are business analyst, data analyst, and AI/ML analyst.
Infrastructure: The department is equipped with modern facilities, including Wi-Fi all over the building, modern classrooms, a departmental library, and labs with computers for practicals. The hostel is very good, based on the price we pay, it is highly affordable, and the rooms are in good condition.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified Ph.D. holders, friendly, and highly knowledgeable in their respective fields. The course curriculum is research-based, which focuses on research activity. The semester exam is moderate, with around 60 percent of students easily passing the exam.
Other: I chose this college because it was very close to my home and it is very affordable. Placement is the best thing about my course. .

A tour to BHU, Aisa's the largest residential university.
Placements: There is very little placement in undergraduate courses, but when you do post-graduation, then you can expect a good placement opportunity from this course. The average package is approximately 10 LPA, and the highest package for this year is 19 LPA. Good companies like AstraZeneca, Deloitte, and many more companies visit us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is world-class. We have a very good department, and we also have a departmental library in which you can get most of the subject-related books to study. We have a lecture theatre complex where classes commence, free Wi-Fi, and 4 high-tech advanced labs.
Faculty: Talking about teachers, we have highly qualified professors, as there is criteria in which you can only become a teacher in BHU after pursuing BHU and having good teaching experience. The course curriculum is mainly focused on academics in UG, but in PG it becomes a placement opportunity.
Other: The course is good and has a very high return on investment. For improvement, they can make the course more industry-ready.

Excellent university for all courses.
Placements: In B.Com (Hons), a few students have got placement because all top companies will hire experienced students, and students were also not interested because their dream was big, like CA, MBA, all this course that way students are not interested bt fer people will crack the interview.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was good. Wi-Fi, lab and smart classes were also available there. In the hostel, Wi-Fi was also provided. The library was too good, it's a central library, it's too big, and all the books are provided there. The hostel mess was good, and the environment was good. All seniors were guided to their junior.
Faculty: The teacher was a very supportive and qualified teacher. All the professors were highly qualified and had a huge amount of experience in their own field. During exam time, everyone is very serious, and professors also provided some extra notes, all this in a group. The quality of the exam hall was very good.
Other: In BHU, the crowd was very heavy in the evening. Their event and fest are also available. In the week, students' scholarships were also provided.
