B.A. in Humanities - Batch of 2026
Offered by Presidency College

Smart college in the modern era.
Placements: So many companies come to my college, like Lenskart, ICICI Bank, Policy Bazar for a Relationship Manager role, even big firm tech companies like Cognizant, Google, and Meesho. One of my seniors got placed from my department at Google and another one at Meesho. There is a 99.9 percent guarantee of placement from our college.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure has been provided with access to a smart dashboard and even another ground is available for sports students. Presidency College has made so many changes over the past three years since I joined college, and now it has become one of India's top college.
Faculty: In my department, most of the political professors have completed their education from Delhi University and Ph.D from Jharkhand University. Where we learn a lot from them and this was an unexpected way of learning. Their experience is very nice in their teaching profession.
Other: We have the best head of department. We have the best-qualified professors, which I don't think most colleges in Bangalore have.

Absolutely valuable, faculty, college life and everything is good.
Placements: This course offers really good placement offers from various companies. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, and even the government companies offer placements. Roles like IPS offices, IAS offices, and many more. The college itself helps students find placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really great, and each department is highly well-maintained. Students can use the Wi-Fi. Classrooms as per their need. The library has 2 divisions, where 1 is a digital library, and the other is a very big library full of books. The hostel facilities are good, and the canteen is really affordable. There are facilities for everything like sports, games, medical, and so on.
Faculty: Faculty is really helpful. Each one of them is specialized in their own subjects. The teaching is really good. This course is definitely relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester examinations are difficult sometimes, especially in the 2nd year, it's hectic to understand and write exams, but the college criteria is 40% overall to pass.

Apart from admin, everything is good.
Placements: As far as I know for placements, our batch as one from the humanities school did not receive many opportunities from the college while we did receive premium LinkedIn accounts. Most of my batchmates went for higher studies in other institutions while the rest found work back home or in the city through their own efforts or connections via their internships. About 40% of our batch had an internship of some kind or the other for newspapers, content writing, marketing or institutions like NIAS (for IR or public policy focus).
Infrastructure: For our course, we were placed in classrooms and media labs for newsroom simulation. These spaces were aptly equipped though at times, our own classrooms were crowded considering we had about 75-80 students for a subject. Food was available in two canteens, one right outside the humanities building (which also had a sick room) and one was the magis canteen which had a whole lot of other options in an affordable range. Magis canteen was right next to the sports field, in the same building with an indoor basketball court and shower rooms for athletes.
Faculty: Professors were really helpful and insightful. The course was also very enjoyable. Though foreign languages were seen as a challenge it was a welcome change for me as it helped me improve my proficiency in a new language (they offer German and French). The course did loads to help us make industry-ready with newsroom simulations, policy labs, and research training + fact-finding for international relations and conflict studies. Semester exams were of an appropriate level for our course and could be passed via expressing enough understanding of the subject matter.
Other: I chose this course because it was the only college that offered this combination that year and I wished to study journalism alongside IR and conflict studies. I wish however that the management could have handled things better. Because of attendance shortage, they held back half of the student population and then they introduced them to a lot of fees to get their degree from then onwards. My advice was to not miss a single class, medical reasons did not qualify as reasons enough to be absent. Only by showing a hospital admittance record, you could be excused.

Fantastic facilities and teaching staff.
Placements: There is quite a lot in my course, mostly for UPSC exams. The course offers a lot of placements, but since many are doing UPSC exams, not many take up the placements. Archeology and NGOs visit our college. The two main roles offered for my course are teachers and entrepreneurs.
Infrastructure: The library has everything you need for my courses, and the departments also have good books to offer. Classrooms can be a little bit organised. Hostels and canteens are not that great as they lack space.
Faculty: The teachers are the best, they are so helpful and understanding. They are very friendly and loving. They teach us beyond the courses, along with the values of life. They don't get tired of teaching us if we lack understanding. The exams could be pretty hard, although.
Other: Best campus life, the vibe and ambience are everything one needs.

Best college of Bangalore for sure.
Placements: We have a placement cell in our college that provides us with varied opportunities. Though from our department, students generally don't sit for placements, as most of us go for further studies and pursue civil services. The placement percentage is around 70%. Top recruiting companies like Goldman Sachs, DeShaw, Deloitte, and many more come for the placement.
Infrastructure: We do have a great campus and spacious classrooms. These classrooms are equipped with the best technology, which makes it easier for us to study. We do have a college Wi-Fi as well. Our library is very well-equipped with various kinds of books and even journals. As I have not opted for the hostel, I won't be able to give any details regarding that. But I do know that the security and food facilities are good in the hostel.
Faculty: I genuinely like my professors as they are quite frank and approachable. They encourage us to not just be academic but also explore other aspects of life. It feels comfortable to ask for their help and they don't make you feel ignored. The course curriculum is very much relevant with every day life one gets aware of their culture, rights and even their finance and not just that it makes us more communicate as well. The semester exams are not difficult its that level pf difficult which prepares us for further projects. The pass percentage is 40% in all subjects.
Other: I chose this course as I thought this would give me very good future opportunities. This particular course is the best for people who have not clearly decided as to what they wanna do in their future as in this course of 3 years you will know what you are good at. I do wish though that the dress cord would have been a little more flexible. I would suggest every one to take part in events and clubs as those are the best memories one can make.

Overall, I have a good experience with balanced academics and campus life.
Placements: Placements for the B.A. in Psychology course at St. Joseph’s University are moderate, as many students pursue higher studies. Around 40-60 percent of students opt for internships. The average package offered ranges from 2-4 LPA. Roles offered are counsellor assistant, HR trainee, and NGO work with support from the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The university provides good infrastructure with well-equipped classrooms, a library, and Wi-Fi facilities. The psychology department has basic practical resources. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, average mess food, access to medical care, sports, and recreational activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They provide clear explanations and support. The course curriculum is relevant and covers key concepts through additional practical exposure, which helps with industry readiness. Semester exams are moderate, and many students pass successfully.
