The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) provides placement opportunities for B.Sc. students, with the average placement package INR 1.80 LPA. The university's Training and Placement Cell maintains close ties with leading industries and research organizations, and the placement percentage is reported to be 60%. Additionally, the university has tie-ups with prominent organizations such as ICICI Bank, Amazon, Axis Bank, HCL Technologies, and many others.

Admission to CU Kashmir includes merit and entrance based eligibility criteria. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 along with valid scores in CUET UG/PG for the admission to UG and PG level courses. Central University of Kashmir (CUK) is expected to release the CUET 2024 cutoff list by the end of July 2024. The cutoff list will be available on the CUK official website, cukashmir.ac.in.

The CUET 2024 UG exam was held between May 15 and June 31, 2024. 

A 60 percentile is considered a passing percentile. A percentile above 80 or 90 will get you a good-ranked college.

Central University of Kashmir offers UG and PG courses for the candidates seeking admission for BTech, BSc-MSc, BVoc, BA LLB, MA, MSc, and MTech. It conducts the admissions based on CUET UG and PG score. Candidates must appear for the CUET- UG and PG entrance test, conducted by NTA. School of Legal Studies - Central University of Kashmir has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

LL.M.	Candidate must have completed Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) 3 Years/ 5 Year Integrated BA LLB with above mentioned marks from any recognised University/Institute.
B.A.	Candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream with the mentioned marks in aggregate or its equivalent on grading scale of respective boards (45% for PwD candidates).

The University was established as the Central University of Jammu and Kashmir. It was established along with 15 other Central Universities by an Act of Parliament in 2009. The University has been granted 503+ acres of land during its establishment by the state government. CUK has 21 schools and 21 constituent teaching departments. These establishments offer 40+ PG, UG, Diploma, Research, and Vocational programmes.
