Don't worry, with 65% in your 12th, you are definitely eligible for CSE at Chandigarh University. The university requires students to have Physics and Mathematics along with any one subject like Computer Science, Chemistry, or IT, with at least 60% marks, and you already fulfill this. The good part is CU also offers a wide range of scholarships that make education affordable. If you've attempted JEE Mains, you can get scholarships based on your percentile. Apart from that, CU has CUCET scholarships, merit scholarships, and even category-based benefits. Many of my friends with similar scores managed to get into CSE easily and received partial scholarships too. So yes, you can surely get CSe here, and you'll also have the chance to cut down your fees with scholarship opportunities

At Chandigarh University, the BA + LLB (Hons) Integrated programme is a five-year course with a semester fee of ₹1,12,000. Since there are two semesters in a year, the annual academic fee comes to approximately ₹2,24,000. In addition, students pay a one-time examination fee of ₹2,500 and a refundable security deposit of ₹2,000. For students opting for on-campus accommodation, hostel fees typically range between ₹70,000 to ₹1,00,000 per year, depending on room type. Mess charges usually fall between ₹45,000 to ₹55,000 annually. When combined, the total annual cost (tuition + hostel + mess + basic charges) generally comes to ₹3.4 to ₹3.8 Lacs per year. This makes Chandigarh University a reasonably priced option for an integrated law programme with campus facilities.

Getting an 8+ CGPA in CSE at Chandigarh University mainly depends on how you use the opportunities around you. CU has smart classrooms, coding clubs, hackathons, and 24x7 labs, which help students prepare better. If you actively take part in hackathons and projects, you not only gain practical skills but also secure good grades because professors value extra participation. The curriculum is industry-aligned, meaning a lot of the questions and assignments are practical rather than rote-learning based. Students also get exposure to global certification programs (like AWS, IBM, and Microsoft), which indirectly help in scoring well since they strengthen your subject knowledge. Many of my seniors told me that CU's exam papers are student-friendly if you attend lectures regularly. So, instead of being difficult, maintaining an 8+ CGPA feels achievable with steady effort, regular project submissions, and using the mentorship provided on campus.

In my view, Chandigarh University is quite promising for an M.E. degree because of its interdisciplinary approach. The university offers multiple postgraduate engineering programs, ranging from Civil Engineering specializations like Structural or Transportation Engineering to cutting-edge fields like Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics. This variety allows students to focus on both traditional engineering careers and emerging technologies. Another positive point is CU's emphasis on research, patents, and publications, which is especially valuable at the master's level. Many students get opportunities to present papers at conferences or collaborate with industries on live projects. Combined with CU's global tie-ups and placement support, pursuing an M.E. here can open pathways to higher studies, research, or specialised roles in industries worldwide

Chandigarh University's 3-year LLB programme is quite good because it is designed with practical training as a major focus. Along with classroom lectures, students are exposed to moot courts, legal aid campus, and field visits. The university also brings in legal experts and judges for guest sessions giving insights into real-world law practice. When it comes to placements, CU provides opportunities in both corporate and litigation fields. Students have been placed in companies like J Sagar Associates, Amarchand & Mangaldas, Sridhar Laxmi Narayan and Indus Law depending on their interests and performance. While not every student takes the placement route (some go for judiciary or higher studies), the majority find opportunities through the career support system. For someone looking for a structured LLB with placement assistance, CU's 3-year programme is a good option.
