Chandigarh University allocates M.E. seats through a uniform admission process that does not prioritise GATE Exam 2026 scores. Students with valid GATE scores are first required to meet the same eligibility criteria as non-GATE candidates, which includes checking graduation marks. Once admission is confirmed, GATE-qualified students may be considered for the fellowship based on their GATE score and merit ranking. The seat itself is not allocated on the basis of GATE performance. This means that students who are not appearing for GATE 2026 or who do not qualify can still secure seats through direct admission. GATE scores are evaluated separately and only influence financial support, not seat allocation.
