The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) has a Moot Court room, a mock case where students conduct and present other papers like real lawyers. It functions as a small court room, so students get to know practically how a case moves in court. Besides, the university sends law students for regular study tours such as visits to district courts, high courts, and even legal aid offices. These tours form part of the practical learning strategy integrated into the law curriculum. CU also manages Legal Aid Clinics under the National Legal Services Authority. Participation in organizing legal awareness drives is on the students, who also participate in exposing them to judges and advocates in expert talks. All these activities expose students to real legal work in the most simple way while nurturing courtroom conviction.

Hi.The placement situation for students of Chandigarh University (CU) doing MCA Cloud Computing & DevOps is — somewhat mixed. There are good signs, but also some caveats. Here's how things fare, based on recent data and student‑reports. What looks good: CU's overall strength & some positive placement outcomesCU as a whole (across branches) has very strong placement‑reach: in 2024, about 9,124 students got placed during campus drives. The highest domestic package offered in 2025 was reported as ₹ 54.75 LPA (though this appears to be for BTech students). According to sources, the MCA programme — including the Cloud‑Computing & DevOps stream — is among the branches for which IT‑sector placements are claimed. Reported roles include Cloud/DevOps, software engineer, data‑oriented roles, etc. CU promotes strong infrastructure and “industry‑integrated curriculum” (labs, electives relevant to modern IT) for MCA, which helps prepare students for cloud/DevOps, AI, data‑science, etc.

Absolutely, meritorious JEE Main 2026 with a pretty good rank opens great opportunities at Chandigarh University. Those with good JEE ranks are entitled to merit-based scholarships awarded to a few selected students on the basis of All India Rank. As per the recent scholarship programme for the academic session of 2026–27, students with AIR up to 25,000 can achieve a 100% semester-fee scholarship while those with ranks up to 1,25,000 are considered for giving partial fee benefit. In addition, the JEE entrance-gaining students are generally considered better during the counseling, have a greater chance in high-demand branches, and qualify for industry-collaborated programs.

Hi.CU admissions for B.E./B.Tech (and most UG courses) are based on its own entrance test CUCET. According to CU's 2026 admission criteria page, to get admission you must apply through CUCET; that's the standard path for all engineering programmes. While CU does accept JEE Main rank/scores, that acceptance is primarily for the purpose of scholarship eligibility (merit-based fee waiver) rather than for seat allotment. The official “JEE-Mains Performance Based Scholarship” scheme mentions that at most 5% of total intake seats in each course are offered under that scheme.CUCET is mandatory for admission — you can't skip it just because you have a JEE Main score. The 5% “JEE-based” seats are scholarship-seats, not a separate admission quota that reserves seats for JEE-qualified students regardless of CUCET.The rest of the seats (≈ 95%) are allotted based on CUCET performance; all applicants, JEE-qualified or not, compete in those seats equally through CUCET.
