The students of Fine Arts in Chandigarh University are getting an array of opportunities to unleash this side of creativity. The department gives inputs on different arts like painting, sculpture, graphic or applied arts. There is an off-classroom learning facility through studios to practice the art skill given to them. Workshops, seminars, and expert talk provide for the faculty and students to interact and share ideas. In addition to these, the students undertake a study of the history of art so that they can understand the very roots of creativity. Further, in the last semester, they will be getting hands-on training in galleries or studios. The students could participate in cultural events organized by the University-where they can present a performance or even display their work. All these 'ahoo' moments help Fine Arts students to grow and translate-theory into practice.

Chandigarh University does focus on preparing Industrial Design students for interviews along with portfolio building. Students work on portfolios throughout their course including projects, sketches and prototypes which they use to present their skills to employers. The university also offers training sessions and mock interviews to help students improve their confidence and presentation. These sessions cover how to explain your work clearly and professionally. Guidance from faculty and industry experts helps students know what employers expect. This preparation is useful not only for campus placements but also for internships and freelance opportunities, as students learn both how to show their work and how to talk about it effectively.

MSTs in Fine Arts at Chandigarh University need both practice and planning. Start by making a clear plan for your preparation. Your portfolio is key—include your best and most creative work. Try to cover many art forms like painting, digital work, or sculpture. Take part in workshops or webinars organized by the university or other places. They teach new methods and trends. Study art history and understand important artists and styles. This helps in exams and gives ideas for your own art. Practice regularly, even simple exercises, to improve skills. Seek feedback from teachers and peers—they can point out small mistakes or ideas for improvement. Finally, try to see real art in exhibitions or museums. Exposure to different artworks will give new inspiration and ideas. Preparing this way makes you confident for MSTs without stress.

From what I've seen in the Industrial Design course at Chandigarh University, students can branch out into different areas once they get through the basics. The main specialisations are Product Design, Transportation Design, and UI/UX Design. Product Design is more about furniture, appliances, and lifestyle items. Transportation Design dives into vehicles, their look and feel, and overall mobility solutions. UI/UX, on the other hand, is digital—it's about making apps and websites smooth and easy to use. What I like about the way CU structures it is that the first half of the course builds a solid foundation. Only after that do you get the choice to focus on a specialisation, which feels less confusing and gives time to figure out where your real interest lies.

Yes, yes campus is safe and secure for everyone be it Architecture or student of some other course or program. At the main GATE only there are 4 to 6 guards and near the main campus also there were 3-4 guards. The entry is also very strict as no one can enter without permission. The whole campus has CCTV cameras. The university has women cell which is run by a senior female teacher. The cell takes care of all things related to women. If there is any issue, the Women's Cell helps. It also makes sure that there is an Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee. This committee looks after serious cases. No bad behavior is allowed, and strict action is taken if needed.I also heard that several talks, seminars and workshops are organized at the university for both female students and staff members where self-defense is taught. The environment at Chandigarh University is really very safe.
