Yes, you can definitely go for NCC with CSE at Chandigarh University. There are several benefits of holding an NCC certificate, especially a 'C' certificate, gives a distinct edge to the applicants seeking an entry into Indian Armed Forces as most of the time they are directly sent to SSB without written exams. Secondly, you will acquire all those important skills like self-confidence, discipline, leadership, physical fitness and handling pressure, which go a long way in any kind of career. Moreover, you will have learned some practical skills like arms training, which may support your technical CSE skills, but keep in mind that NCC activities need a lot of time management. One needs to ensure that studies are not suffering.

Today no company can run without cloud, so students choosing projects on it is very helpful. Final year projects can be like real-time chat app on cloud, cloud-based file sharing system, online health tracking system with cloud, or library management using distributed resources. Some more ideas are smart transport tracking system, cloud-based payroll system, or integrating AI with serverless computing. Students can test these projects on AWS or Google Cloud and learn scalability and user load management. Such work supports better future scope, as it helps in jobs where cloud solutions are most demanded. These projects also allow team collaboration and practice of virtualization and DevOps skills.

Switching to Animation at Chandigarh University is very much possible, even if you're not from a Science or technical stream. The eligibility is open: 10+2 in any stream with 55% marks, so whether you studied commerce, arts, or science, you can apply without issues. The programme is designed in a way that starts with foundational learning like drawing, storyboarding, and design principles. Slowly, it moves toward complex topics like 3D animation, game design, and special effects. The university even provides support labs like a Sketching Lab and Photography Studio for beginners to build confidence. Students from varied academic backgrounds have successfully graduated and now work in top studios like Creo Media and Digitoonz. So, yes—you don't need to worry about your stream; CU ensures everyone gets equal opportunities to shine in animation.

The placement of the cloud computing course at Chandigarh University is really very amazing. The highest offer in the course is of Rs. 52.11 lakh for the global financial technology and professional services company Charter Global, followed by Arcesium with an offer of Rs. 36 lakh while the highest offer from global e-commerce multinational Amazon was Rs. 31.77 lakh for the CSE/IT Engineering branch. Tech giants like Microsoft, IBM, SAP Labs, and Hewlett Packard visited CU and recruited over 2030 CSE/IT engineering students. The world's number one IT giant, Microsoft, has been selecting students from the Computer Science and IT Engineering stream for the last three years, while the number of selections has increased three times and reached 15. India's leading IT company, Wipro, took 394 students, followed by Capgemini with 217 students, Mindtree with 101 students, while global IT giant IBM also selected a record number of 196 engineering students, which is the highest at any campus in North India.

Yes, top companies do visit Chandigarh University for hiring Industrial Design students. These companies include design, technology, and consulting as they recruit for this discipline. To be specific, graduates have found placements at Cognizant, Capgemini, and Re'equil India Pvt Ltd. These are usually found between the packages of 4 to 7 LPA. The university even offers placement support services like resume preparation and mock interviews to assist students in getting close to their prospective employers. Internships, such as those offered with Visual Grab, also provide practical experience on which employability will be based.

From my experience and what I've seen, the Animation and Multimedia department at Chandigarh University is really impressive. The labs are fully equipped with the latest software like 3ds Max, Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, and AutoCAD, which makes learning very practical. The faculty members are approachable and provide a lot of guidance, especially on live projects. Students get hands-on exposure through industrial collaborations, which makes it feel like real studio work. The projects, competitions, and workshops really help in building a strong portfolio, which is essential for jobs in animation, gaming, and VFX. I also like how creative freedom is encouraged – we can experiment while learning the technical side.

I think that if you get supportive faculty, half of your academic journey is smooth and it's the truth, the faculty at the university is also really good. They are not just teachers, they are mentors. They guide students with everything, from cracking interviews to choosing the right career path. The mentorship at CU is also something worth talking about. One mentor takes care of only a few students. So, every student gets proper attention. They help in studies, give tips for exams, help in time management, and even guide for resumes, internships, and job options. Some mentors even have industry work experience, so they tell how real jobs work. They also help students gain confidence, improve soft skills, and get ready for the workplace, but at CGC, the faculty members are so rude and do not even have the proper knowledge of subjects.
