Scoring an 8+ CGPA in Chandigarh University's CSE branch is not too hard if you stay regular with classes and practice coding. The faculty here actually supports students a lot with doubt-clearing sessions and extra tutorials before exams. Most of the subjects are designed in a way that mixes theory with practical projects, so if you attend labs and complete assignments on time, half the work is already done. CU also provides online resources, mock tests, and open-book quizzes, which makes it easier to prepare. The exam evaluation is fair, and internal marks like quizzes and class tests boost your overall grade. Many students who balance studies with practical coding practice from platforms like HackerRank easily maintain above 8 CGPA. It's not about studying 12 hours daily, it's about being consistent and making use of the resources CU provides.

If you choose Chandigarh University for CSE, you will not be making a wrong move. The course covers modern computer subjects, new technologies and has good labs for practice. You get exposure to coding, networking and industry-based learning. Placements are also decent with many companies coming. Now about a year drop. It can give you more options but it also brings pressure. You spend extra time, face the same competition again, and it is not always certain that you will land in a very different place. So if you want to save time, CU can be a good choice. If you are ready to take a risk, then dropping is an option. Think about what suits you more.

As far as I know, Chandigarh University gives a golden chance to students to study in different countries and learn how new things and the university makes possible different peograms every year in January and September. One is teh semester exchange programme where students can go to countries in Europe, Asia, South Africa or South America. The best part is students do not have to pay tuition fees in foreign universities. The second option is teh semester abroad program, where students can go to USA, UK, or Australia. Apart from this, students can even get full degree from abroad. Universities like Okanagan College, Jamestown University, University of West Alabama, Uiversity of Canberra and Curtin University have partnered with CU for these programs.

CU's on-campus recruitment for CSE students is quite favourable. The university has equipped students with labs, project work, and IBM-sponsored certifications, which help them during the hiring process. Because CSE with specialisations (like Data Science, AI/ML, Cloud) is offered, recruiters often target students who have exposure to the latest tools and technologies. The placement cell organises mock interviews, coding boot camps, and resume review sessions to help students become more confident. Student batches are large, giving recruiters multiple candidates to choose from. Also, CU's engineering wing being ranked 31 in NIRF 2025 helps in drawing attention. On the drive days, companies tend to visit in good numbers. The process typically includes aptitude, coding or technical tests, and then interviews. Many students get offers through these campus drives.
