CMI Entrance Exam 2025 entrance exam will be held on May 24, 2025, at the respective exam centres across the nation. What is CMI Entrance Exam?

The Chennai Mathematical Institue (CMI) conducts a written entrance exam at a national level for offering admissions in Bachelor of Science (BSc) courses in Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Physics and, the Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Data Sciences. The entrance exam is conducted for a duration of three hours wherein candidates have to solve and write answers in the space provided. The exam pattern and syllabus of the CMI entrance exam are different for all courses. 

The main areas of research at CMI are Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics. In addition to a vibrant PhD programme, the Institute conducts BSc programmes in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as Mathematics and Physics, along with MSc programmes in Mathematics, Applications of Mathematics and Computer Science.

CMI Entrance Exam 2025 Admission Process

Step 1: Apply for CMI Exam 2025 - Candidates has to apply for the CMI entrance exam in online or offline mode as under:

  • To apply online, candidates needed to visit the official website of CMI.
  • To apply in offline mode, candidates had to request for 'offline application' from the institute. 

Step 2: Download Admit Cards - Candidates who will submit their application forms along with the fee will be issued the admit card for the CMI entrance exam 2025. The admit card mentioned details about the candidate, test details, and the allotted exam centre.  

Step 3: Appear for CMI Entrance Exam - Candidates has to appear for the written entrance exam conducted by CMI at the allotted test centres. CMI Entrance Exam 2025 Application Form

The CMI Entrance Exam 2025 application forms have been released and is available in online mode only. Candidates have to first register by entering their email ID. They received further instructions by email including the username and password. They have to log in and then fill out the application form with their personal and academic details, select a programme and the exam centres and upload documents. The application fee of INR 1,000 will be paid through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI. At the completion of the process, they must take a printout of the application confirmation.

 The candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses at CMI should fulfil the eligibility criteria stated in the table below:

CUET PG 2025 Exam Pattern will consist of 16 questions which will be of 100 marks and the question paper would be divided into two parts. Part A would consist of 40 marks and Part B will consist of 60 marks. The question paper of all undergraduate courses will carry weightage as under:

The exam authorities of the CMI Entrance Exam 2025 has announced the CMI exam registration dates on their official website. As per the exam authority notice, candidates can fill out the CMI entrance exam 2025 registration portal from  March 1, 2025. Interested applicants can visit the official website and check the details from there.

Before filling out the CMI Entrance Exam, candidates are advised to check the minimal eligibility criteria of the course for which they want to take the exam. Since no last date for the application form is April 15, 2025.
