Christ University Bangalore India Cutoff 2025: Check CAT Previous Years Cutoff Percentiles

Christ University offers MBA admissions through various national-level entrance exams, including CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT and GRE. Candidates who have applied for Christ University must have a valid score in any one of the mentioned exams in order to be eligible for selection process.

Christ University admission process includes clearing the qualifying cutoff followed by Group Discussion, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview. 

At the time of admission and form filling, the aspirants are required to submit certain documents. These documents are required by the university for verification purposes. Candidates must have the following documents prior to filing the application form online:

• Copy of mark sheet of Class 10, Class 12
• Degree Certificate
• Transfer Certificate
• Migration Certificate
• 3 passport-size and 3 stamp-size photographs (Mandatory)
• A valid photo ID in original (Aadhaar Card/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Electoral ID) - Mandatory

Admission to most Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses is based on CUET (Christ University Entrance Test) conducted by Christ Deemed-to-be University, Department of Media Studies.Apart from CMAT Christ University, Institute of Management also accepts ATMA/GRE/GMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT scores. Undergraduate with 50% in all the subjects including language.

To be eligible for admission to Christ University, you must have obtained a grade point average of at least 60% in either the Commerce or Science streams in class 12. 
However, each course has its unique set of requirements. 
The minimum percentage required for the B.Sc. Psychology degree is 55%. in 10+2.
You must also take an entrance exam, followed by a skill evaluation, a micro presentation exam, and an interview, in addition to meeting the basic percentage requirements.

In the field of Management and Commerce & Accounting, Christ Deemed-to-be University offers three BBA programmes at the UG level. Admission criteria regarding admission to all these courses are as follows:

• Selection criteria: CUET 2021 + MP + PI + academic performance in Class 12
• Duration: Three years

All original Class 10, Class 12, Degree Marks Card (Students pursuing their final year/semester must have the statement of marks up to the previous semester/year) and The scores of the following tests held in 2022 and 2023 will be accepted of MAT (Sep/Dec/Feb:2023) score of 500 and above or CAT 2022 score of 60 percentile and above or XAT 2023 score of 60 percentile and above or CMAT 2023 score of 240 and above or ATMA 2023 score of 60 percentile and above or GMAT 2022/23 score of 450 and above or GRE 2022/23 score of 295 and above. must be able to be verified in person during the round of personal interviews.

For admission to a BCom course of Christ University, aspirant must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent. The qualifying examination should have been passed from a recognised board. For BCom (Hons/Hons w/Research) courses, the students should have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam. 

Students who meet the below criteria are also eligible to apply:

• Those writing their final degree examinations during March-May are also eligible
• Students pursuing the International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations
• Those pursuing an IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits
•  Those pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels with a grade not less than C

Christ University Bangalore offers a two-year MBA programme in various specialisations through national-level entrance exams, including CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT and GRE. Tabulated below is the minimum qualifying cutoff accepted by the university for admission to its MBA programme:

• Any UG degree with at least 50% aggregate
• Those writing their final degree examinations during March-June are also eligible
• 500 or above in the MAT
• 60 percentile or above in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA
• 450 or above in GMAT
• 295 or above in GRE

 In order to be eligible for E-MBA from Christ University Bangalore, candidates must have the following:

• Any UG degree with at least 50% aggregate
• Candidates must be working currently in Bangalore with at least 2 years of work experience OR At least one-year work experience with a valid score in one of the exams considered under the eligibility (MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ GRE)

 Interested applicants must have the following documents ready prior to filing the application form online:

1. Copy of mark sheet of Class 10, Class 12
2. Transfer Certificate (TC) of Class 12 
3. Two copies of the online payment receipt (mandatory)
4. Copy of valid ID proofs (Aadhaar Card/ Aadhar Enrolment Receipt/ PAN Card/ Voter ID Card)
5. Migration Certificate of Class 12 (applicable for all candidates except Karnataka state board applicants)
6. One stamp-size and one passport-size photograph in formal dress with a white background (mandatory)

As per the specified criteria to be eligible for BA admission candidates must have passed Class 12 from any recognised board in India from any stream (Science/ Arts/ Commerce). Further students can present their documents at the time of admission. 

They don't have a set cut off, a lot depends on your interview, for argument's sake consider the cut off to be around 75%. The eligibility requirement is a Bachelor's degree with 50% marks. The entrance exam tests candidates on their aptitude, knowledge of current affairs, and reasoning ability. Christ University Entrance Test / Skill Assessment (The skill assessment will consist of a test on written skills, communication skills and logical reasoning).

• Personal interview.
• Academic Performance (Assessment of past performance in Class 10, Class 11/12, during the Personal Interview).

There isn't any particular cut off percentage as such. Every year the percentage for cut off changes.

Eligibility and Selection Process

To apply for the MA Media and Communication Studies programme at Christ University, candidates must:

Have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.A

Have proficiency in English. Candidates need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) 213 or TOEFL (IBT) 79.

The selection process consists of:

1) Filling an online application form available on the university website.

2) An interview round conducted by the Department of Media Studies to evaluate the candidate's communication skills, aptitude and subject knowledge.

3) Selected candidates are issued an offer letter and invited to pay the programme fees to confirm their admission.

Intake and Fee Structure

The annual intake for the MA Media and Communication Studies programme at Christ University is around 100 students.

The fee structure is:

Admission registration fee: Rs.5000

Tuition fees:

For Karnataka students: Rs. 124000 per annum

For other Indian states: Rs. 134000 per annum

For NRI/International students: Rs. 230000 to $4000-$4500 per annum

The fees remain the same for the entire 2-year duration of the program.

The cut-off marks for M.A. at Christ University- Department of Media Studies vary each year depending on the number of applicants and the overall quality of the applicant pool. However, as a general guideline, applicants should have a minimum of 55% marks in their undergraduate degree to be considered for admission.

Candidates must be Class 12 or equivalent pass to be eligible for admission in Christ University Bangalore BA course in Communication and Media, English. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board. Students must hold the pass certificates as well.
