School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University offers admission to PhD programme based on scores in entrance test conducted by the university. The PhD entrance examination comprises two papers-General Aptitude & Research Methodology and  domain-specific subject as studied at the postgraduate level. Both the papers consist of 60 multiple-choice questions and the time allotted for each paper is one hour.

Candidates who have passed a master’s degree or a professional degree with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale are eligible to apply for PhD programme.  Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% aggregate can also apply.

School of Engineering and Technology, CMR University conducts an entrance exam to select candidates for PhD course. Candidates with M.Phil degree from a recognised university are exempted from taking the entrance examination, if the degree has been obtained on or after July 11, 2009. Selected candidates are further called for a personal interview round.

School of Economics and Commerce, CMR University admission to PhD programme is based on an entrance test conducted by the university. Candidates seeking admission in the School of Legal Studies can appear for the entrance exam. Aspirants can also get admission in BA LLB (Hons)/ BBA LLB (Hons) and LLM based on CLAT scores. Once selected, aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the school.
