DAV University BCom Eligibility & Highlights 2025

DAV University BCom is a three-year undergraduate course available in both regular and honors degrees. The BCom course curriculum is spread across six semester and includes major subjects such as financial analysis, investment management, international finance, taxation strategies, data analytics, etc. DAV University offers a flexible pathway for students to pursue the BCom course with an exit option after completing a set course period.

DAV University BCom admission is both merit and entrance-based. The university might accept entrance exams such as CUET or in-house exams DAV University Entrance Test or DAVUET. Candidates must make sure to qualify for the BCom eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are similar for both Bachelor of Commerce (BCom Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) , which are as follows:

The DAV University BCom admission process begins with the release of the application forms. Eligible candidates are required to fill out the application form before the deadline. Interested candidates can check out the DAV University admission process from below:

Step 1: DAV University Application Process 2025

The application process is conducted in both online and offline modes. To apply online candidates are required to visit the DAV University official website and click on the Apply Now option to fill out the application form. Candidates can also visit the DAV University campus and purchase the application form from the admission office.

Step 1.1: Click on 'Admission' on the DAV University's home page.

Step 1.2: Fill out the online registration form with valid numbers, email, name, etc.

Step 1.3: After submission of the form, a confirmation mail will be sent to you on your email along with your registration activation link (Login Id & Password).

Step 2: Selection Process

To shortlist candidates for the BCom and BCom (Hons) courses, candidates must qualify for the course qualification. The College shortlists candidates based on merit secured in the qualifying exam. Step 3: Final Admission

Shortlisted candidates will receive an offer letter from the University. The best affordable college in Jalandhar.

Placements: The cost of my course is 47,000 a year, and there are various packages offered by the companies in our college. The highest average packet should be 7 LPA. There are many top recruiting companies that come to the college to select the students, such as Cream and many other companies. There are many placements offered by different companies in our college.

Infrastructure: If you talk about the infrastructure of our college, the air conditioning is available in only computer labs, but in classes there are only ceiling fans. Although the infrastructure is not good, if we keep in mind the fee structure of the courses, then according to that fee structure, the infrastructure is not to bad; there are all the necessary facilities available in the college.

Faculty: In our college, there are two times exams happen: firstly, the college takes the MST, which is the midterm exam, and then the final comes to be taken by the universities, which are the final exams whose marks are to be counted. The best thing is that the MST should build up the confidence in the student and help the students be prepared for the final exam.

Other: I too am taking this course because I have an interest in the management and account sections. That's why I chose the Bachelor of Commerce, and the faculty of the colleges are very good and qualified, and I have experienced all the students being comfortable with the teachers and discussing the problem with open-mindedness. Each other makes the solutions to the problem and guides the students in the best possible way, so overall, the college is very good and affordable for the middle class.

In DAV University, teaching faculty members work very hard.

Placements: About 20% of the students from our course got placed. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 8,000 per month, while the average salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. DAV University is better for placements for MBA students, but B.Com students are not allowed to attend placements. Teaching staff members offer the best placements for students, and they provide valuable guidance to all students as per their ability.

Infrastructure: All things provided by our university are good and valuable for us, which is the unique thing about it. The food served in the mess is good. There are more comfortable facilities, and all the rooms are well designed. All facilities are provided here.

Faculty: Teachers here work very hard, and they clear all concepts. They pay more attention to get great academic results. They are more qualified and more knowledgeable, and they provide complete knowledge to improve our skills and help in every aspect.

Other: I have chosen B.Com because I want to become a businessman. All fests organised here are superb and worthy.

I am partially dissatisfied because of the faculty, placements, and hostel.

Placements: Almost 6 students in our course are placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Top recruitment companies are private banks. Top roles offered here are in sales and marketing. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered in our course is 4 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is good. Classrooms are non-air-conditioned. Wi-Fi facility is available. Labs are available in this course. The library is overall good. The hostel is the worst thing in this university. The food quality is really bad, and many students get sick due to food poisoning.

Faculty: Teachers in this course are really helpful. Whenever we need help, they are always there. Some teachers are qualified with PhDs, and some are masters degree holders. This course curriculum is relevant. This course somewhat makes the student industry-ready because practical knowledge is missing.

Our college placed no. Of students every year and provide a better environment to them to study.

Placements: 1) About 90% or more than that students were placed in our course. Our college selects the brilliant students every year. It also gives opportunity to other students also to get selection in our college. For this they have to achieve sports certificate or any other achievement. 2) 50000 pm the highest and 15000 was the lowest one. 3) TATA, ICICI BANK, HDFC, and many others. Most of the highest package comes from these 3 above banks. They every year comes in our college and selects the best one for the job. 4) Accounting, data entry operator, data analyser etc. From these courses students gets an extra knowledge about the work. 5) In our course the highest package goes to 350000 p. a. and the lowest was 220000 p. a. These packages are given to the students on the basis of their qualifications and knowledge. 6) Only 20% to 30% students GOT internship in ICICI Bank and Tata mutual fund. The brilliant students GOT placed by these big companies or banks.

Infrastructure: 1) Our college is beautifully designed and ranked no. 1 College of Punjab. It has a good parking for the vehicles of teachers and students. Clean environment, big playground, dustbins set up every where, clean roads, 24 hours water and electricity supply, gym also available for students in there free time, Wi-Fi and a big library where every students sit and read books, smart classes also available in our college. 2) in hostel students gets a good quality of food every day even they also gets some sweets at night. Strict rules established in our college so that no one break it. Many games also available in our college. About 80% of students took sports in our college. Our college comes 1st, 2nd every time. Proper medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: 1) The teachers are very much helpful. They have M.Phil degrees. Every teacher have more than 5 years of experience in particular subject. I say that our teachers were very much helpful and their way of teaching was so easy. So I give them 4.5 star as a quality. 2) yes it prepares students how to do the particular work it also provides them a knowledge to GOT selected by big companies.

Other: 1) I am interested in this course to know about the working of private sector. 2) I wish that an extra subject should be added so that the new students gets an extra knowledge about the working of an industry 3) every year our college organise events for students for their enjoyment and also provides them scholarships so that it will motivate to them and others.

I am satisfied with my university in respect to faculty and extracurricular activities.

Placements: Our senior batches got placements in some reputed companies. If I talk about the placement percentage, 70% of the seniors got campus recruitment, the rest 20% applied for jobs and the remaining 10% were still in search of job. The highest package was of about 7 lacs and the lowest was of 2.5 lacs. Companies like Axis Bank, Decathlon, Cipla, Fortis etc. Visit our University.

Infrastructure: If I talk about the infrastructure it is not much developed. The work of building infrastructure is still in progress and with the passage of time it is developing. Some blocks have AC classrooms and some have not. The hostel rooms are well maintained. The quality of food in university canteen is good. Except canteen, University has many small shops where different type of food is available. The library and labs are well maintained.

Faculty: The faculty in University is well qualified and very supportive. They use different type of methods to make students learn the things in an easy way. They provide practical knowledge too rather providing only the theoretical knowledge. In our case, they give us case studies to brainstorm our mind. They give us presentations, so that students can built up confidence of public speaking. Apart from this various competitions are organised to involve the students.

Other: The university provide scholarships to the students who are in merit list. Felicitation ceremonies are also done to boost up the students confidence. Fest is done once in a year. Campus crowd is not that much on regular days, like when there is any event only at that time we use to so much crowd.

I feel proud that I got a chance to study at this university.

Placements: I am currently doing CFA since there were no placements at that time when I had completed my graduation, and it is true that no company would hire a fresher and that too a graduate, so you must need to enhance your skills and professional degree then only you can survive in the corporate world.

Infrastructure: As it is a newly build university, so the infrastructure is satisfactory. The university has new build rooms and hostels with every facility required to have a healthy and a safe environment. The university has good parking as well as a ground facility. This is a great place for bright future.

Faculty: Of course, I was lucky that I got a chance to gain knowledge from those faculty, who are already masters in their professional fields. The teachers of this university are helpful and cooperative. They have a high degree of knowledge and educated.

Other: Everything other than the academics is excellent at our university. The students of our university are given a chance to participate in every co-curricular activities and provide a platform to perform.
