Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) was founded by the Haryana State Legislature Act No. 29 of 2006 and is recognised under 12 (B) of the UGC Act, 1956. Came into existence in 2006, the University was formerly known as Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering, (1987-2006). DCRUST Sonepat offers Barch from four different schools which include a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from DCRUST - Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology, Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Gateway College of Architecture and Design, Gateway Education, Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from PM College of Architecture and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from South Point School of Architecture. The total tuition fee of BArch varies. While BArch from DCRUST and Gateway College of Architecture and Design has a total tuition fee of INR 80,000 and INR 3.4 Lacs respectively, the tuition fee of BArch by PM College of Architecture and by South Point School of Architecture is INR 2.2 Lakh.

Moderately satisfied with the faculty, teaching material, and the placements are also satisfiable.

Placements: The students who are placed in my branch are about 10–15%. The highest package offered is 18 LPA, the lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, TATA, JCB, and Google. About 30–40% of students got internships from my course.

Infrastructure: There are multiple facilities available in our course, such as several computer labs where each lab is assigned for a different language and subject. Central Wi-Fi is provided all over the college campus with a satisfactory speed. The classrooms are also good and clean. The library is very huge, with a collection of every type of book.

Faculty: The faculty of the college is very helpful. They are highly qualified, with many years of experience, and some of them are IIT alumni. They are also very knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is A1. The course curriculum is very relevant according to Industry 4.0, which helps students in securing huge placements.

It has a chill campus life and a good area.

Placements: The package offered is 64 LPA, and the average salary offered is 6 LPA. Placement opportunities are excellent in my course. Almost 90% of students got placed in top companies like TCS, Infosys, and Amazon. The package offered ranges from 4-20 LPA. Many students also got internships in reputed firms with great roles.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are so good and fully furnished with AC, food, and everything is top-notch. Our department has modern labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. The hostel is comfortable with decent rooms. There is a good variety of food in the mess and canteen. The medical care and sports facilities keep students' lives balanced.

Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and can make everything easy. Teachers are supportive and explain concepts clearly. The course curriculum is updated and industry-oriented. Exams are moderately tough but manageable with preparation. The pass percentage is generally high.

Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be in the tech field. The campus crowd is awesome.

My real experiences with Dcrust.

Placements: The placement scenario in our university is quite good. The average package of universities is 6 LPA, and the main recruiters are TCS Veera for an IT student, and for other students are Havles, Eiser, and Maruti Suzuki. Almost 60% of students got placed in core branches, while for CSE and ECE, the percentage may increase.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is decent, the campus is fully Wi-Fi, and the classrooms and library are fully air-conditioned. All the labs are working properly with all the equipment. There is a hostel inside the university campus, which is quite affordable. Mess food is decent, but for better food, some canteens have very good Dhaba around the campus.

Faculty: Most of the professors are very supportive, and they are ready to help students. The professors are very well qualified, mostly from IITs. Some of them are very strict about assignments and attendance criteria. There are three exams in a semester. Two minor exams and one major exam at the end of the semester, marking of exams is quite strict.

Other: I chose mechanical engineering because most of these trends are choosing computer Science, engineering, and the demand for core engineers is increasing as their supply is less, and also this university has a good placement record with core branches. One thing that can be improved for the course is that it could be more based on professional learning. Otherwise, there are fests on the campus. One is the technical phase, and the other is the cultural fest inside the university. There are various kinds of other events and social groups as well.

Average college and hostel life.

Placements: Placements are not that good in our campus, but most of the students can easily get the 3LPA package, and a few topic students can get the 7LPA package, but the top 1 to 2 students can also cross the line of 10LPA, depending upon the capability of the students and their mindset.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not good, as recently the CSE department chairman faced a accident of the roof falling on his desk, and hostels are also in the worst condition, and the administration does not do anything as the vice chancellor eats all the development money by itself and with the registrar.

Faculty: Faculty is not interested in teaching the students, and very rarely do teachers take interest in teaching us. Curriculum is old and has not been updated in years. Exams are held regularly, but the checking process is not transparent and has a few faults, that is why they do not take action.

Other: Value for money is average, and the crowd is large on the campus.

College and campus at DCRUST

Placements: Very bad placement for year 2025. Only 1 company hired, i.e., TCS. The rest, like Fidelity and L&T Online, took tests but did not release results. No one knows what happened. TCS hired many for the Ninja role, i.e., 3.5 LPA. Even that is like a dream to get hired from DCRUST in TCS. Very poor TPC, no placement.

Infrastructure: Hostel is okay, as usual in government. Canteen is average. There is a basketball court in campus, and badminton and tennis courts are available too. But it is very crowded, only sometimes do you get a chance to play, rest of the times fully occupied. Sometimes students play volleyball and cricket in the hostel arena, so that’s good too.

Faculty: Department faculty are average and some are good too, but there is not much bonding between students and teachers. Exams are held on campus, so that is good. But the course curriculum is outdated; some subjects are still from the ’90s. Overall, I can say it is below average.

Our college offers a lot of facilities.

Placements: 40% of students are placed in our course. A 3-4 LPA package is offered in our course. TCS is the main top recruiting company in our course. The students who are good in studies and have a good CGPA got internships. Top roles offered in our course are junior assistant managers in the marketing section.

Infrastructure: Our college has a good and fine structure. It has all the facilities like Wi-Fi, computer labs, good classrooms, library facilities, and a good auditorium. We have boys’ and girls’ hostels as well. There is also a Nescafe and such canteens in our college.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They help us with study material. Some of them are PhD holders and professors. The course provides a relevant curriculum to help students prepare for the industries. The semester exams are not so difficult, and the passing percentage is 30%.
