The hostel premises has common TV room, tuck-shops (having stationary, barber, bakery, juice etc. shops) and state of the art indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The entire hostel premises are Wi-Fi enabled and has a separate computer centre with 24X7 internet facility. There are four in-campus boys' hostel viz. Raman, Bose, Bhabha and Sarabhai with a total capacity of accommodating around 1,200 boys. University also has a separate in-campus Girls’ Hostels viz. If I had to choose, I'd lean towards Thapar. A senior I know from Thapar's Chemical Engineering branch had a good experience with the faculty, labs, and placement opportunities. If you're considering Chemical Engineering, Thapar is definitely a strong option.
