Doon University, an epitome of greenery.

Placements: The placement rate is not impressive as it is a state-owned University. Big companies like Maruti Suzuki visit the campus for placement and recruit students on the average package of 3-4 LPA. Students get placed in good roles in the companies.

Infrastructure: Facilities like smart classes are available for students for better understanding. Good infrastructure is the base of this University. Many buildings are there, such as football and basketball grounds. A huge campus area attracts students to take admission.

Faculty: The faculty staff is very experienced and professional, and teachers put all their efforts into making students job-oriented and future-oriented. The exams are not that difficult. Teachers clarify the whole syllabus which makes it easy for the students.

Things to consider before choosing Doon university.

Placements: I was passed out in 2021 after covid, so we were not provided with any college placements. Only one company came which was not relevant for the course I did. Placement cell overall is very bad in the university. Very few of the students got placements from college, majorly everyone applied for the jobs on their own. No support from university .

Infrastructure: The college campus is nice and green. The classrooms though are worse, broken ceilings and pigeons all over in the buildings. Small classes were there at my time, there was not even a proper auditorium or hall for events, one was there but it was very small and was hardly for 100 people. I have not been in the hostel, so I do not know about it.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified but there is no surety when the teacher is going to leave. We had only 3 professors who taught us for the starting 2 semesters. At the end of the 5th sem, 2 more teachers were added in the department but they also left after 2-3 months. The teachers who taught us though were very knowledgeable.

Other: If you're looking for a very happening college life with fests happening, don't have high expectations from this university. In terms of the fees. it is cheap but the placement cell, exam section & administration is pathetic.
