Good university and very affordable.

Placements: This university doesn't have a very active placement cell, and very few students get placed here. The average package is 3 lakhs maximum and 1 lakh minimum. Companies rarely visit our college to recruit forensic students. The top roles in my course are scientific officer, laboratory worker, assistance professor, etc.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are comparatively good, but not as good as thought. Wi-Fi is available everywhere, and modern ICT tools are also used. There is no mess in the hostel for food, but we have to contact the tiffin guys. We also have a university hospital where free checkups and medicine can be obtained.

Faculty: The teachers here are well qualified, having many degrees and Ph.D.s. They are very helpful with the students and have good knowledge. The curriculum is proper according to UGC norms, and it is proper for students. This university has a very good certification value. The exams are conducted every semester and are at a moderate level, and we have to score 40% to pass the exams.

Other: This course seemed interesting, which is why I joined it. More practical classes should be provided than theory classes. Fests should be conducted, as our college is very backward in co-curricular activities.

My experience of M.Sc. Forensic Science at Dr. Hari Singh Gour University Sagar.

Placements: The placement percentage is very low due to the limited number of recruiters for this course. Only 1% to 2% of students were placed. The highest offered package is 4 Lacs per annum, and the lowest is 2.5 Lacs per annum. Tata AIG is among the top recruiters. Almost everyone secured internships at CFSLs, SFSLs, and RFSLs. The top roles include Crime Scene Investigator, Insurance Fraud Investigator, and Chemical Examiner.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with free high-speed Wi-Fi available in the hostel and campus. The labs and classrooms are spacious and well-maintained. The library is satisfactory, with almost all relevant books available. The hostel facility has issues, such as a water crisis and the absence of a hostel mess, so students need to rely on private tiffins, and the food quality is not good. Medical facilities are available free of cost. Sports and gaming facilities are decent, with the university having its own Abdul Gani Khan Stadium.

Faculty: The teaching quality is very good, as the teachers are highly qualified. They are supportive in the classroom, although direct contact outside class is not always possible. The curriculum is well-structured to prepare students for real-world challenges, and the difficulty level is moderate, with most students passing the semester exams.

Other: I chose this course due to my strong interest in criminal investigations. While the course is engaging, there is a need for improvement in the recruitment process for forensic students, especially in Forensic Science Laboratories. The college hosts few major events, with Gour Utsav being the most notable, celebrated every December. The campus environment is good, with decent connectivity and surroundings. Most government and private scholarships are available. NCC and NSS offer extracurricular activities.

A university with pretty views.

Placements: Out of 24 students, only 3 got placed; some chose different paths in the same field and some in other fields. The average package given was INR 15000 per month. Most of the students who were placed were given a role as trainees in the company. The role was related to the investigation of crimes.

Infrastructure: The university campus is situated atop hills in an area of roughly 1300 acres, surrounded by forests and a clean, natural environment. There is an SBI branch with an ATM. The university features a significant number of classrooms with contemporary amenities. The science students have access to advanced labs. Wi-Fi is available on the campus. There are four boys hostels. There are 3 hostels for girls, namely: Nivedita I, II, and Rani Laxmi Bai Girls Hostel. Nivedita I has 133 rooms, and Nivedita II has 72 rooms, all of which are double-seated. Rani Laxmi Bai Hostel has 193 rooms for single occupancy. Mess is also present in the hostels, along with the availability of hygienic water and electricity.

Faculty: The teachers were well-qualified and renowned in their respective fields. Teachers have great practical knowledge and are well versed in the field. They were punctual and conducted classes on time. The semester exams are moderate but can be unpredictable sometimes. But overall, you will be able to pass the semester exams if you work hard, attend classes regularly, and get your doubts clarified.

Very helpful professors and a very affordable university.

Placements: In the Singh gour university, placement cell does it's job to expose us to all the possible companies and opportunities and to get They are very helpful in that matter. Also companies like TATA, Aig and other companies do give us the opportunity and many students get selected in it. The highest package was of INR 6 lacs last year from TATA Aig. One of our classmate was recruited in it. They recruited him for the post of scientific asst in the insurance department.

Infrastructure: Girls hostel is very spacious and beautiful. It is situated in the campus of the university but the distance from university to hostel is very much, but it can be managed by walking. The road to hostel is full of greenery and very beautiful. The view from the balcony room is just wonderful. Although the cutoff to get a seat is quite high as the number of seats in the hostel is not very much. Only the top scorers and if have category quota, can get a seat in the hostel. The food in the hostel is average but cost of the food is quite low, so great deal in that amount. The living cost of the room is quite cheap and can be very easily managed. The medical facility is present in the campus. The hostel have access to the campus Wi-Fi, so no internet issues. The library in the campus is very huge and all the books are easily available. The classrooms have average infrastructure but the roads of the campus has lots of tress which is quite refreshing and admiring.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in the studies and the projects, some professors are easy to understand and some are not, but they help with everything. The exams are not very hard to pass, they are of a good level, any student who worked on the syllabus can easily pass it. The course offered by the university is very much similar to the NTA NET JRF exam so the student get ready for the competitive exam too in the process of the semester exams.

Other: I chose this course as I was interested in the field of forensics, and also did my graduation in the same. The course would be the best option for the students if the labs offering jobs for scientific officers would recruit more every year. Scholarship is offered for sc/st students. The campus surrounding is very good and all the necessity is fulfilled easily. The crowd is huge in the campus, all the festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm.

Its placement of the pharmaceutical, forensic Science and the geology department is the best.

Placements: The ministry of health of government of India, Railway ministry, Employee state insurance corporation, Mumbai Employee state Insurance Corporation Delhi, Sun pharma private limited, Mylab laboratories, Indore were some of the establishments which visited the college. My seniors were also placed in the Mylan laboratories and the Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Vadodara. Some seniors have also gone for the PhD study abroad.

Infrastructure: The whole university is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and there are many sophisticated laboratories with new instruments. The college has the largest library which is the Jawahar Kendra in the college. There is also a separate library in the department. There are also sports and game facilities available. The university campus is also very large. Also, the weather conditions are the best for the students.

Faculty: The university has a lot of eminent professors team in every department. All the professors are well qualified and excellent in knowledge. They are also very helpful in research and placement. The faculty always treat the students as a family. The teaching methodology used by them is also modern and excellent, and it helps all the students.
