EFLU was founded in 1958 and is located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
History: In 1973, CIEFL achieved the deemed university status and was established with a campus in Shillong.
Rankings: EFLU Hyderabad is ranked 21st by Outlook Ranking 2024 under the Top General (Govt.) Universities in India category.
Academics: The English and Foreign Languages University provides MA and BA (Hons) as flagship programmes to students. EFLU University, through various schools of study, offers PG, UG, PhD, and other courses to students. These courses are provided across the Language, Literature Studies, and various other streams. Around 11 foreign languages, apart from several other Humanities courses, are taught by the English and Foreign Languages University - Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).

Centre for English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad offers 10 (3-year) UG, 18 (2-year) PG, and 20 Diploma programmes annually to students.
