Review of EFLU - English and Foreign Languages University.
Placements: Up to 40-50% of students get placed every year with a salary of Rs. 20,000 to 50,000 per month. Top recruiting companies Amazon, Entrayn and Flipkart visit here each year for the recruitment of students from all the courses. Most of the students are expected to do at least one internship while their vacations. Companies offer both internships and jobs to the students who might continue with the job in future.
Infrastructure: For the course MA linguistics particularly, there is a language lab and well-established phonetics lab. There is a library with 24x7 self-study room for all the students of the university. All these infrastructure and facilities are well-maintained.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are well-read and qualified. They are always open to all the students in any help that can be addressed. The course curriculum is more practical and objective than just theoretical learning. It is one of the reasons by which students not only use their talent but also use to makes them industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen MA linguistics course because I want to explore different depths which a language can have. It is relatively a new field and thus has many possibilities in research. The university provides the best of linguistics faculty members in the whole country. Students get involved in many events throughout the course, including an international conference, Dastaan-student run-fest, Folha Seca-football tournament, etc.

Efficient University with further scope for improvement.
Placements: This year's placement cell was a huge let down. To say it wasn't well organised with only a few companies turning up much to the student's disappointment. Quality companies for M.A. students weren't provided. Mostly it was service based companies with not much of a track record. Students who are aiming to get placed after M.A. are not gonna be happy with the placement cell here.
Infrastructure: The campus has state of art facilities such as library, language labs, spacious high-tech classrooms for teaching and learning languages. Food available in the canteen is at a subsidized rate and of good taste. Hostel rooms are also well maintained and big enough, though it's still incomplete.
Faculty: The courses offered are content packed which would keep one abreast of the timely changes in the approach to the study of languages. The University has got high qualified teachers who teach with great dedication and commitment to achieve the name and fame of the University. Moreover, the learner friendly teachers of the University are ever ready to answer their student's questions. Foreign language courses offered at University are one of the best in the country.
Other: Student coordinated events, when it happens, fail to bring the whole of academia together. It's disorganized. However, with the number of foreign students here, foreign languages day is a much awaited event.

Other: I did my Masters in Linguistics from EFLU and can vouch for its quality. It is the best place for linguistics in the country, and boasts of a well-rounded faculty whose areas of interests span theoretical and computational linguistics, and a very up-to-date syllabus. The professors are extremely friendly, approachable and helpful, and are keen on fostering and mentoring students even outside regular class hours. While not big on cultural activities, EFLU excels in academics. Although there have been trouble with the administration of late, on the academic front not much has been compromised.

Other: English literature syllabus is not comprehensive. Cafeteria system, however. Is a great one if one knows how to choose courses? Language department is the best. Cultural Studies courses are innovative and informative. Teacher-student relationship is awesome. Literature syllabus is not NET oriented. Those who wish to pursue research in future, EFLU should be the First Choice. Hostels are great. Campus life is active and enjoyable. There can hardly be a place better than this to enjoy the freedom of hostel life. Hospital facility is not ideal. B.A. courses are the worst for literature students. This is an ideal place for research. Co-curricular activities are in abundance.

    Cafeteria system allows you to opt for modules of your choice. While doing some language courses, you could opt for Phonetics, Linguistics, etc. in addition to the core courses prescribed.
