B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2027

My college life at Galgotias University.
Placements: At least 70% of students are placed from this course. The highest package is 1.5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The percentage of students who get internships is 20-42%. The top role offered is in HR. To be eligible, you have to be sure to get a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or greater.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university is well and good. Wi-Fi is available, and the labs are fully equipped. Classrooms are fully furnished with a round-table conference. The library is also well-furnished. The quality of food in the hostel is average. The food facilities in the mess and canteen are good, but the quality of food is not as good as the facilities provided by the university. The medical facilities are also well provided.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and help during exam time, and even during the visa process. They treat students like their own children. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for any placement. Semester exams are not very difficult, and the student's passing percentage is good.
Other: Hi everyone, I chose Computer Science and Engineering, and I believe I can get a better job and placement from this college. The events, fests, and campus activities are done in a regular manner every one or two months. The extracurricular activities are also conducted, and students participate in cricket, and there are a lot of opportunities here.

Really satisfied with good placements.
Placements: About 80% of students get placed in the course. The highest package of the B.Tech computer science and engineering course is 1.5 crore. The lowest package is about 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys with Pro TCS. Percentage of students got internships in third year 72%. Top roles offered in this course are HR and manager.
Infrastructure: The facility present at this Galgotia University is very good. Wi-Fi is also present everywhere. Labs are present everywhere and also make labs are there. Sports facility is also good. But hostels and food facilities are average. Canteen and mess qualities are also average. But medical facilities are good. They provide free medicine. Sports and games are also present there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They help a lot during exam time. Other times also they are well-qualified and studied from IITs and NITs. Course curriculum is relevant. It makes students ready for B.Tech. Semester exams are also not so difficult, and the passing percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I have to pursue B.Tech in computer science and engineering for better improvement. In this course, events and fests also happen regularly. Campus is also good. There are three wings and extracurricular activities are also done like fast track at home. Scholarships are also given to UP scholars every day.

I am satisfied where I am, university is providing lot of opportunities to explore.
Placements: Placement of our University is not bad but not good too. Here are some Top companies who came for the recruitment in 2022-23 Cognizant - 248 students (B.Teach/MCA) Accenture - 155 students (B.Teach/MCA) Mindtree - 120 students (B.Teach/MCA) TCS: 74 students (B.Teach/MCA) SKOLAR: 49 students (B.Teach) HCL Technologies: 44 students (B.Teach) L&T: 42 students (B.Teach) Capgemini: 41 students (B.Teach/MCA) Teach Mahindra: 29 students (B.Teach/MCA) Infosis: 26 students (B.Teach/MCA) Newgen: 26 students (B.Teach/MCA) Coforge - 25 students (B.Teach) Nokia - 13 students (B.Teach) Airtel - 11 students (B.Teach) Reliance Retail - 10 students (B.Teach) IBM CodeKnack - 8 students (B.Teach) Samsung - 5 students (B.Teach) Blue Star - 4 students (B.Teach) Total no. Of companies visited: 157 (B.Teach/MCA) Total number . of companies visited, including all courses: 580 the highest Performers of B.Teach CSE (2022–23): OpenZeppelin: 1.5cr Microsoft (44LPA) Autodesk 36LPA Commvault: 33 33lpa And many more. Average package: 4.5 LPA .
Infrastructure: facilities and infrastructure of our course is average Wi-Fi is available in all classrooms; Library is fully AC and well maintained with Wi-Fi connectivity and books; Classrooms have AC and Projectors with capacity of approximately 70 students. Labs are also good with all new computers and Mac lab is also available in the University.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable; they teach well and are helpful. The quality of teaching is good, except for some teachers, which you will find at every university or college. Semester exams are not too hard or too easy. Previously, they used to give us the question bank for each subject, and in exam questions, they used to come from that question bank, so it was easy for students to score good marks. But now, this year, there is no question bank provided, and even teachers don't know what question is going to come. They are strict in terms of exams, but they can be passed easily.
Other: Extracurricular Activities are very good Events and festivals are organised very well and there are lot of active clubs and societies where you can participate. All Sports are available in the university, both outdoor and indoor. Campus Crowd are huge but the campus is small w. crowds. Construction is going on campus and is increasing fast.

Good infrastructure, decent placements, and growing scope in AI & ML.
Placements: Approximately 75%-80% of students from B.Tech CSE (AI & ml) course got placed through campus placement. Many also pursued off-campus opportunities or higher education. The highest package is 15 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package is 5 LPA-6 LPA Top recruiting companies are Cognizant, Wipro, Capgemini, and Infosys. .
Infrastructure: The college campus has good Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, AI/ML labs, and a will-stocked library. Hostel's food is average and canteen is better. Medical aid is available. Sports facilities include football, basketball, gym and indoor games such as pool and table tennis are also there for students' entertainment.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and well-versed in AI/ML. Teaching quality is good with a practical focus. The curriculum is updated and industry-oriented. Semester exams are moderate in difficult. Pass percentage is around 85%-95%. Most of the teachers have Ph.D. degree.
Other: I chose CSE (AI and ML) for its future scope and innovation. The best part is hands-on learning in AI. Needs more industry tie-ups and advanced projects. Campus has fests diverse, crowd good, connectivity, extracurriculars, and scholarships.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2027

Balanced BCA experience: Strong curriculum but needs more faculty engagement.
Placements: Placements are decent with around 60-70% of students getting placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and startups. The highest package goes up to 10-12 LPA, while the average is around 3-4 LPA. Internship opportunities are available, but students often need to actively seek them.
Infrastructure: As for hostel facilities they are average but livable. Rooms are clean but basic with options for AC and non-AC accommodation. The food quality in the mess is okay, but many students prefer eating outside. Common areas and study space are available, but maintenance could be better. Security is strict which is good but hostel rules can feel restrictive.
Faculty: Faculty is mixed. Some are excellent, others average. The curriculum is strong (Python, Web Dev, Java, DBMS) with good practical labs. Exams are moderately fair grading, but self-study is needed. Overall 3.7/5 is good for basic, but upskill yourself for better opportunities.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial intelligence) - Batch of 2024

2Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Comprehensive Look at the B.Tech in AI & Data Science.
Placements: Placements in our batch have not met our expectations as a university. Some classmates, including myself, still have no offers from the companies we applied to, and we are waiting for employers to send us their offers. The placement situation does not seem very optimistic in the current environment. The highest package for this year is yet to be declared, so information about it is scarce. The lowest package is difficult to determine, but it is clear that the offers are much lower than usual. The average package is substantially lower than expected, which has been a concern for many. In past years, large companies recruited for several positions, but this time, most recruitment has been from startups offering lower remunerations. Marketing firms are leading the recruitment drive. There are no stipend-based internships available at this college, and we must search for them ourselves. Unfortunately, no list of companies offering internships to our batch is available.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs have been modernized, which is a major improvement. Previously, they were not as clean or well-equipped as expected, given the fees charged. Now they have air conditioning and Wi-Fi, making learning more conducive. The labs have enough chemical and physical apparatus, which supports practical exercises. The library is well-managed and provides enormous resources that are useful for academic pursuits. It is a go-to place for books and academic works, and the quiet environment is ideal for studying. Hostels are very expensive, and the room space is small for two students sharing. The food quality in the mess ranges from good to barely edible, which has affected many, including myself. The canteen has some food options, but they could be improved. The sports facilities are fine, with a proper badminton court and a playing field for various sports and games.
Faculty: Most of the B.Tech staff are from South India and Bihar. Faculty members from South India are generally helpful, but they can be strict with rules, which is sometimes unhelpful for students. Some teachers are good and encouraging. They conduct PowerPoint presentations and assign weekly homework, which helps students grasp the lessons. The teaching quality varies. Some teachers are energetic and friendly, while others are rigid and focus too much on rules, which doesn’t always create the best learning environment. The curriculum is relevant and updated to reflect current industry needs, aiming to produce students with desirable qualities. However, its effectiveness in preparing students for the industry depends on the course delivery and the student’s enthusiasm. The exam format fluctuates, and with new executive changes, the pattern now includes mid-term, end-term, and internal checks. Some teachers share model questions, but this is not systematic and doesn't cover all the syllabi. As a result, there is always pressure during exams, and the pass rate can vary depending on the level of student preparation.
Other: I chose this course because it offers a B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, a field I have always been interested in due to advancements in technology and the job opportunities available. The best part of the course is the learning process and personal development it brings, although a disclaimer is necessary—it’s not easy. There is a need for more focus on practical experience rather than just assignments for marks. The placement process needs improvement, and students should be better prepared to meet employer standards. The campus hosts two promotional events on average each month, along with a fest. While management students seem to enjoy college life through group activities, engineering students like myself find the work challenging and time-consuming. The course fees are high, adding pressure. Although there are positive aspects of the course and campus life, focusing more on placements and skill improvement could greatly enhance the situation.
