Scholarships at GITAM (Deemed to be University) are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis. GITAM admissions via scholarships consider up to 20% of the sanctioned intake (except for Architecture & Physiotherapy, Engineering Core Branches, and Humanities branches), while for other programmes it is up to 50%. The institution has mainly five scholarship slabs, presented in the form of 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% and 15% tuition and fee waivers. However, there are scholarship schemes such as Employee Children Scholarships (60%, 40% and 20% waivers), Loyalty Scholarships (10% waiver) and Sports Scholarships, which offer rather an unconventional amount of fee waivers.

GITAM (Deemed to be University) Scholarship Types
- Merit Scholarships – Students who clear the National entrance test/ State entrance test/ GITAM Admission Test (GAT) are eligible to apply for these scholarships. Those who score a CGPA of 8 (for batches starting from 2020-2021) or a CGPA of 8.5 (for batches starting from 2019-2020) will be eligible to continue their scholarships in the subsequent years.
- Need-based Scholarships – Students applying for need-based scholarships will be required to present the tax documents of both parents (Form-16/ Income Tax returns). Furthermore, in order to continue the scholarships for subsequent years, students will be required to score a CGPA of 8 or more. The combined income of both the parents will be divided into two tiers:

Note: Candidates admitted via merit scholarships will get an increment of 25% on their total tuition fee waiver if they apply for need-based scholarships (along with relevant documents) i.e. 75% tuition fee waivers will be upgraded to 100%. Also, need-based scholarship students will also be eligible for Loyalty Scholarships (provided that the fee waiver does not exceed 75%).
- Scholarships for Employee Children – The children of GITAM employees are eligible to avail of 15%, 25% and 50% tuition fee waivers, provided that the overall scholarship fee waiver does not exceed 75%. Children of the employees admitted through GAT are eligible for Loyalty Scholarships (the total fee waiver should not exceed 75%). The quantum of the scholarship will be based on the parent’s (employee’s) salary.
- Loyalty Scholarships – A maximum of 10% fee waiver is awarded through Loyalty Scholarships.

How to Apply for GITAM (Deemed to be University) Scholarship?
Students who apply at GITAM University via GITAM Admission Test (GAT) will be eligible for the scholarship schemes. The steps to apply are as follows:
Step 1: Go to https://apply.gitam.edu/ and complete the application form.
Step 2: Pay an application fee of INR 1,000

Placements: Our college's placement cell is good. This is the only department that includes a placement cell. They are good, and we have many options, but they are limited in comparison to other institutions because this is a good college that prioritizes higher education. Every year, companies like Apollo Hospital, Max Healthcare, and CSIR make visits to the campus. The top wage is 10 LPA. We have internships available. Placements: Better in placements everyone is doing their best because of college. My seniors also got their placement. Average package 6 to 7 LPA. Everyone is getting a package, some members are not getting a package. Top companies are TCS, IBM, etc. In the 3rd year, a lot of students get their internships. It is the best college.
Placements: In around 6 semester, students become eligible for campus placements. The number of companies visited university were Amazon, HCL, Dell, Mahindra, TCS, Accenture, Microsoft, Lenovo, etc. The highest package provided by Amazon was 18 LPA. The lowest package was around 3,60,000 by Accenture and TCS. The minimum percentage required for getting placements was above 7 CGPA.
Placements: I joined GITAM in 2024 (BBA). In my course, 70 percent of the total students applied for placements, and out of that, 40 percent of students got placements. The highest package is 9 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies are Deloitte, etc. 70 percent of students got internships. Top roles offered in the course are the head of the student life and the student council committee.
Placements: 79% of students are placed in our college. The maximum income offered at our college was 9 LPA, while the lowest compensation was 3 LPA. The internship rate at our college is 70%. Food Technologies, Nutritional Therapist, and other top professions are available through our training. Amul, Britannia, PepsiCo, and other companies are among the leading recruiters.
Placements: The placements are average in this college, with about 50% to 60% placed. B.Tech placements (2024) has 354 students placed. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA, 15 LPA is the highest, and the average package is 4.5 LPA. Shiksha overall placement trend, 2023-24, is that the median package is 4.10 LPA (UG programs). The highest package is 15 LPA. The lowest package is 3.6 LPA. Recruiters include Amazon, TCS, Bosch, Capgemini, Deloitte, JP Morgan, and more.
