No, direct admissions are not possible in GITAM University. The accepted entrance exams are TS EAMCET,  GITAM GAT,  AP EAMCET,  JEE Main,  CUET, IRMASAT, KCET, and others. Students goining for direct admissions must first visit the official website and ask for the same. Not all colleges/universities go for direct admissions. 

Yes, you can get admission to GITAM university with 65 percentile. The MBA admissions were conducted based on CAT, MAT, NMAT, and Karnataka PGCET. For  GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru, the needed cutoff percentile is 70 and 65 for CAT and MAT, respectively.

Similarly, for GITAM Business School Hyderabad and GITAM School of Business Visakhapatnam, the CAT percentile stood at a common percentile of 70 in 2024.

To get admission at GITAM Visakhapatnam, candidates should have completed their last qualification from a recognised institution with at least the aggregate set by the university as the minimum eligibility. However, admission to all the courses is entrance exam-based. Candidates need to appear for GITAM Admission Test (GAT) followed by a personal interview conducted by the university. Only if they clear GAT, they can get admission to the university. The candidates can also apply for admission in case they have a valid score in any other entrance exam accepted by the university.

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2024 for the admission to BTech and BTech Integrated courses at GITAM University. The university has reelased the cutoffs for various All India and Home State category quotas. Taking into consideration the General All India category, the needed rank for BTech courses stood between 64268 and 217321. If we analyse the cutoff we can say that 60000 is more than enough to secure a seat at GITAM University in 2024 through KCET.

GITAM University Vishakhapatnam students must apply for admission through the accepted entrance exam scores. After the selection rounds are concluded, shortlisted students are expected to attend counselling process of specific courses that they plan to take.

GITAM University offers BCom in various specialisations. Admission to BCom at GITAM is based on GAT conducted by the university. To be eligible to pursue the UG-level programme, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Hence, a candidate scoring less than 50% is not eligible to apply for the programme. Such candidates can explore other options offering full-time BCom courses. The last date to apply for Andhra Pradesh ICET 2024 is expected to be in third week of April 2024. Candidates failing to meet the deadline to fill the application form will be required to pay the Andhra Pradesh ICET 2024 late fee along with the application fee. Candidates will be required to pay the Andhra Pradesh ICET 2024 application late fee of INR 1000, INR 2000, INR 3000 or INR 5000 as per the last date to apply for Andhra Pradesh ICET 2024 exam. Andhra Pradesh ICET 2024 registrations will commence anytime soon.

GITAM University accepts NEET PG for MS admission. As per the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for MS in General Surgery was 41217 for the General AI category students. So, considering the first round, yes, candidates with NEET PG rank of 40,000 can get admission to MS in General Surgery at GITAM University. However, the cutoff ranks vary for different courses and categories. So, it is always better to check the category-wise cutoff ranks for your desired course for admission.

GITAM University offers various BTech courses based on KCET scores. Candidates willing to get a seat for any of the course at the university must have valid KCET scores. Further, the university has released the cutoffs for various quotas including All India and Home State.
