SMVDU Cutoff 2026: JEE Main Previous Years Closing Rank

Candidates must have taken their Class 12 Exam or any comparable qualifying examination in 2023 or have passed their Class 10+2 Exam or equivalent in 2020 or 2021 with at least 50% of their total marks from a recognised board to be eligible.Also, admission to MBA Course is done on the basis f CAT or MAT percentile. It should be between 80 to 90 percentile for admission in Shri Vaishno Devi University for MBA course.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is a state university  located in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is approved by UGC and was established in 1999. SMVDU BA Hons seats are alloted to candidates based on their performance and scores obtained by them in the CUET UG. The total SMVDU BA Hons seat intake for the integrated BA Hons plus MA programme across both specialisations is 95.

Yes, you can join Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University without MAT. If you had appeared in CAT or CMAT exam then you are eligible for merit based admission process for MBA program. If you had not appeared in above mentioned exams then you will have to give entrance exam conducted by University named SMVDUEE ( Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Entrance Exam). After qualifying the above exams you will be called up for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a three-year/ four-year (including research) and five-year integrated BSc Hons plus MSc programmes. SMVDU BSc Hons seats are alloted to candidates based on their performance in the CUET UG. Given below is specialisation-wise seat intake for the five-year integrated BSc Hons plus MSc programme:

Candidates who get the final shortlist for admission to BA Hons at SMVDU are also required to attach the following documents and send to the concerned Admission Committee’s email id. The list of following documents have been mentioned below:

SMVDU merit list is based on valid score of (CAT/MAT/Feb/May/CMAT 2024 along with score obtained in GD/PI in first phase. For vacant seats, score obtained in CUET (PG) 2024 by candidate along with score obtained in GD/PI will be considered. Cnadidates can apply online on the official website of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. 

 

The selection criteria for B.Tech. In Computer Science and Engineering change each year based on the cutoff percentiles in the JEE Mains examination and the number of seats available. The criteria may also vary for selection through the CUET examination. If we take an average, then the cutoff for computer Science is CRL 1 Lacs (approximately 90-95 percentiles).. .

Aspirants who wish to take admission to the BA Hons programme offered by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University must appear for an entrance examination. The University accepts the scores of CUET UG conducted by the NTA. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BA Hons course admission. It is just the minimum eligibility criteria.  

As per the latest information, the overall cut-off varies from 357-367 for the M.Tech courses at SMVDU.

To be spoken separately the expected cut-off for "computer and Science engeenering" is 357, 361 for "system engeenering" and 367 for "electronic and communication engeenering".
