1. Application Process 

The application process consists of first filling out the online application form from the University's official website and paying the application fee.

2. Selection Rounds 

Students have to check what the eligibility criteria is for the course they want. For eg., MBA and PhD course require candidates to appear for an entrance exam, such as CMAT, whereas for UG diploma, BA, and BDes course, students are only needed to pass the merit criteria which is a certain percent of marks in Class 12. 

3. Counselling & Admission Confirmation

After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants are required to come for counselling and document verification. For MBA, ACPC Counselling is required. Shortlisted aspirants need to confirm their seat by paying the fee.

The Gujarat University cutoff list is prepared for admission to the UG and PG courses for all categories belonging to the All India and Home State quota. According to the cutoff data in 2023 for Integrated MBA in Advertising and Public Relations programme, the cutoff was 83 for the students belonging to the General All India quota.

More than 30 scholarship schemes initiated by the Government of Gujarat are covered by Gujarat University. For developing high-quality research Government of Gujarat has initated a scheme called SHODH (scheme of developing high-quality research ) to offer  financial assistance to students doing qualitative research. Under this scheme, more than 1000 full-time research scholars awarded INR 15,000 per month and INR 20,000 contingency expense P.A. in the last five years.
