I am deeply thankful to my faculty who have changed my life for the IT sector.
Placements: In my course this year 2024, around 90 percent of students got selected in very good companies like NIIT, Mircson Technologies, MS Ltd, Berg Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Axis Bank, and Bajaj. All the students have got the opportunity of placement in good companies like NIT and Bajaj. 60 percent of students have got the opportunity of internship along with placement. The salary package range for placements was between 3 LPA and 6 LPA, and for internship was between 2 LPA and 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classrooms in our college campus are very good with digital boards, and the labs are also equipped with PCs, which have very good facilities, and our central library also works in both online and offline mode along with internet. The hostel here is also very good, which has very good rooms and study tables and chairs are also available for study. The electricity is available 24/7 and internet facility is also available. Very good food is available here in the canteen, which is available on a menu basis and on a daily basis.
Faculty: All the faculty of our college are UGC NET qualified and have three to four years of experience in the company, and all the teachers also have two to three years of teaching experience and have worked in various IT sector companies. The programme of our college is based on the curriculum of the Central University, and various innovative subjects are taught under NIBP. There is a strong focus on skill-based subjects.
Other: When I took admission to my college UCST, I was afraid whether I would understand the language or not or whether I would know how to write in English or not. My faculty has helped me a lot in improving my writing skills and in understanding the subject, and my doubts are cleared. Teachers of all subjects have solved it very easily. I thank all the teachers wholeheartedly.

Our faculty pays a lot of attention to our weaknesses to help us enhance our strengths.
Placements: In my BCA course, about 70% to 90% of students get selected by various IT companies for placements and internships. Some of the companies are Berg Technology Pvt Ltd, Mircson Technologies Pvt Ltd, Justdial, NIIT, MS Ltd, Skywings Advisors Pvt Ltd, etc. The salary package for placements is 4 LPA and 5 LPA. For internships, salary package is between 3.2 LPA and 4.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is very beautiful. It is located in a hilly area with a peaceful environment, which makes it a good place to study. Apart from that, we have badminton courts and basketball courts on our campus. We also play outdoor games here. The canteen and hostel facilities are available on campus itself, providing good facilities for living and food. Digital boards are installed in our classrooms and labs, through which we can clear all types of doubts.
Faculty: All our faculty members are well qualified, with Ph.D. degrees and NET qualifications. They have three to four years of work experience in the IT industry, which enables them to teach topics related to current technology very well. The curriculum of our college is based on the Central University curriculum. Apart from that, other subjects and new technologies are also taught, keeping in mind the requirements of the current industry.
Other: What I like best about doing BCA from my college, UCST, is that all our faculty members focus a lot on both classes and practical learning. The weak points in our practical skills are addressed through a practical approach in the classroom. Two fests are organized every year in the college, one is a technical fest, and the other is a co-curricular activity fest. By participating in these fests, we students enhance our skills and personality, and the faculty helps us a lot.

It is good for having fun, but not for getting knowledge.
Placements: 2-3 students from my course actually got placed at the college. The package offered is 2.4 LPA, I guess. Local companies mostly hire students. The college often sends students for off-campus placements. About internships, they said to just create a project of our own choice, and based on that project, they will give us a 45-day certificate. I don't know about top roles offered to students, but one girl got placed in a position for hiring candidates.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi at first worked. But as the time passed, the speed decreased. Classrooms are nice, spacious, and clean. The library is good too. In my last year in the new college building, a new library was opened, and it looks very impressive. Canteen food is good, and prices are reasonable too.
Faculty: Some teachers are there. Most of the time, teachers are just coming to teach, but after a few months, they leave the college. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready, so we have to work on our own. I suggest students don't expect anything from the college. Semester exams are easy. Students should just learn the questions from the past 5-6 years' exam papers, and they will score above average in them.
Other: The location of the college is very nice, and we will love it.

Infrastructure: In our college campus, classrooms for our course are very good. We are taught through digital boards. Apart from this, our labs have Dell PCs installed, where we are taught programming and designing software very well. The library also has information related to our course. Course books are easily available. We like to read books in the library.
Faculty: Faculty members in our course are NET-qualified. Some faculty members are also pursuing Ph.D. All faculty members have 5 to 6 years of work experience in the IT industry. My college, UCST, is best for my curiosity.
Placements: This year, about 92% of students in our BCA course got placed in IT companies. These companies hire students with packages ranging from 3.5 LPA to 6 LPA. This year, companies offer placements to approximately 50% of students and select the remaining 40% for internships as junior developers. During our course, about 5 to 6 companies offer placements to the students. The companies include Berg Technology Pvt. Ltd., MS Ltd., Bajaj Finance, and Sky Wings Advisors Pvt. Ltd.
Infrastructure: As far as the infrastructure of our college is concerned, it is quite good. It includes a playground, basketball court, and badminton court. Apart from this, the canteen is also very good. Digital boards are installed in the classrooms. Dell computer systems are available in labs. The hostel provides 24/7 Wi-Fi. The food in the mess changes daily according to the menu.
Faculty: All our faculty members are Ph.D. qualified, and some of them are also NET-qualified. They have about three to four years of experience in the IT industry. Faculty members explain in detail how work is carried out in IT companies. The curriculum is based on the Central University program. Placements: This year, at my college, almost 95% of students in the CS department were selected by various IT companies. I also get a placement package of approximately 2.5 LPA. The salary package for placements is around 3 LPA to 6 LPA. For internships, it is around 2-4 LPA. Companies that select students for placements include Berg Technology Pvt. Infrastructure: Our college campuses are beautiful, with trees and plants all around them. The college has very beautiful classrooms with smart boards. Apart from this, our computer lab has Dell PCs with 24-hour power backup and internet facilities. We can access the content in our library in both online and offline modes. Hostel facilities are also very good at our college, where rooms have 24-hour electricity. The food provided in our canteen is also very good and available on a menu basis.
Faculty: All faculty members in our department are NET-qualified. Some faculty members are pursuing their Ph.D. s. Apart from that, all of them have three to four years of IT industry experience. The faculty keeps us coding in the classroom and also conducts tests on a daily basis so that our knowledge always remains strong. The curriculum of our college is based on the curriculum of the Central University. The courses are also taught under NEP.
Other: While doing BCA, I get to experience a lot of things in my college. Along with the curriculum, I learn technology by keeping the current industry requirements in mind. Apart from that, we are made to work on projects along with coding in the classroom itself, due to which our knowledge remains good.

Placements: I am very happy to say that about 96 percent of the students in our college have been placed. I am also among them, I have been appointed as an Assistant Manager in Axis Bank. Most of the students got offers for internships and placements, but 40 percent of students got selected for internships by various companies in their various departments.

Our classrooms are very good with digital boards, our library is also well-equipped with Dell PC as well as an internet facility, and we have a central library where we can clear our doubts by accessing online and offline resources. HNB Garhwal University is an excellent choice for a budget-friendly BTech in ECE offering solid academics & experienced faculty. As a central university it lacks dedicated on-campus corporate placements for core electronics. It is highly recommended if you are focused on higher studies like the GATE

HNB Garhwal University is a decent, government-run Central University in Uttarakhand.
Pros: It holds prestigious NAAC 'A' grade. Fees are highly affordable making it great for budget-conscious students. The campus environment is beautiful & the professors are well-qualified & helpful.

HNBGU generally does not offer direct admissions for its programmes including MA Psychology. Students have to clear the admission process to get a seat. The university considers CUET PG scores. However, students can connect with the university to know more.
