Very satisfied with HNB Medical Education University, Uttarakhand

Placements: 80% placement rate; up to 99.9% of students got jobs. Even students in their final year are working. Internships and postings are available at institutions like Vedanta Hospital, AIIMS, and BHEL, with some students securing positions as nursing officers at AIIMS, PGI Chandigarh, and Lucknow.

Infrastructure: The environment is quite and hygienic with well-ventilated surroundings. The library has a good collection of books from both foreign and Indian authors. Everything is commendable. The faculty is cooperative and friendly, and they are dedicated to educating students with effort.

Faculty: The pass percentage ranges from 80% to 90%, and the course is very relevant. Everyone secures a job after completing the degree. It is a noble profession, and all teachers work under TNA with authorized licenses and registration numbers.

Other: I chose this course in 2019 and graduated in 2024. Due to COVID, the batch was delayed, but it was covered quickly due to the university's efforts.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty. It provided good placements in 2015.

Placements: I am from the B.Sc. in Nursing course. The batch varies (assuming a recent passing). Approximately 60-75% of the B.Sc. in Nursing students get placed through college campus placements or hospital tie-ups. The rest often pursue government job exams (like ESIC, AIIMS Railways) and higher education like M.Sc. Nursing and NP programs. Some students opt for abroad opportunities (especially UK, Ireland, and Gulf countries). The salary package offered is India-based. The highest package ranges from 6-8 LPA (for placements abroad or private super-specialty hospitals). The lowest package ranges from 1.8-2.4 LPA (entry-level positions in smaller hospitals). The average package ranges from 2.5-3.5 LPA. Salaries improve with experience, specializations, or moving abroad. Top recruiting companies/hospitals for our course like private hospitals are Apollo Hospital, Fortis Healthcare, Manipal Hospital, Max Healthcare, and Narayana Health, and government institutions like AIIMS, ESIC, and PGI Chandigarh.

Infrastructure: It has well-equipped nursing labs like fundamentals of the nursing lab, anatomy & physiology lab, nutrition lab, community health lab, and MCH (maternal & child health) lab. Most reputed colleges maintain simulation labs with dummies, mannequins, and advanced medical equipment. It has smart classrooms and projectors.

Faculty: Here is an honest and practical overview of the faculty, curriculum, and exams in the B.Sc in Nursing course (based on common standards followed by the Indian Nursing Council and most universities in India. Faculty members usually hold M.Sc in Nursing or PhD degrees in specialized fields like medical-surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, psychiatric nursing, obstetrics & gynecological nursing, and community health nursing. Their teaching style is mostly a mix of lectures, demonstrations, case studies, etc.

Other: I chose this course because a B.Sc in Nursing is not just a course, it is a full-time commitment both physically and emotionally. Students should be prepared for long hours, early clinical shifts, and emotionally intense environments. It's one of the most job-secure courses, especially post-COVID, with global demand in countries like the UK, Ireland, and Germany.
