According to the IGNOU Academic Year Calendar, the term end practicals were held in January and the next practical exam date will be released soon. Practical exams are held in the study centres only. These exams are conducted either a month before the theory exam or after the theory exam. These exams are not very tough and the questions are framed according to the topics taught in the lectures. Yes, Indira Gandhi National Open University conducts its classes in its study centres, under the guidance of regional centres. However, IGNOU doesn't run any classes in the main campus. When a student registers for a course in IGNOU the student picks a Study Centre and a Regional Centre according to their choice. The books are obtained from the selected study centre. Also, IGNOU offers a facility called IGNOU Online' which gives its students an opportunity to study online for programmes and courses which are not available in the area where they live in.

Students who have applied for B.Ed, MBA or PB BSc Nursing must appear for the required entrance and check if they've qualified it. Followed by application, application fee payment and entrance, students who have completed their registration can check their status by entering their registration number on the IGNOU admission status page. Yes, IGNOU also offers a two-year MBA programme in General, Banking & Finance, Financial Management, HRM, Marketing Management and Operations Management specialisations. Up until past years, i.e., 2021, IGNOU MBA admission was subject to valid scores obtained by the students in the IGNOU OPENMAT exam. However, for 2023 admission, OPENMAT was not conducted for the January and July sessions. Admission is now being granted on a merit-basis. The programme is offered with English as a medium of instruction and applications for the same can be submitted online on the official website. 

Students meet the merit requirements for the MBA programme. Appearing for IGNOU MBA is to qualify bachelors degree from the recognised university with 50% marks from the general category and 45% for the SC/ ST category. 

IGNOU BA/BA (H) fee range from INR 15,000 to INR 15,900. The first year fee can also include registration fee of INR 300.
