Candidates must complete post-graduation in relevant subjects with at least 50-55% aggregate (45-50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ Uttarakhand OBC) to apply for PhD courses. PhD is a minimum of four-year course offered in five specialisations, namely Hotel Management, English & Psychology, Media & Communication Design, Law and Management. Aspirants from any of these streams can acquire a doctoral degree at IMS. 4. While LLM admission is based on the University Admission Test/CLAT score and PI.
5. Candidates for MBA are chosen based on their performance in the Aptitude Test and PI.
6. Candidates interested in pursuing the University's Ph.D degree must have a valid score in the NET/SLET/SET, IUU Admission Test, and PI.

CHO or Certificate in Hospitality Operations is a one-year full-time course.  In the curriculum, an equal emphasis is laid on the theoretical and practical aspects of Hospitality Studies. The first semester includes campus training on core departments of Hospitality/ Hotel Operation along with personality development and application of computers courses. The second semester is devoted to industrial training. Candidates must have passed Class 12 in any stream to apply for CHO course. Aspirants between age of 18 years and 26 years are eligible to apply.
