IMU Kochi Admission 2025: Eligibility, Fees, Application Process & Dates

IMU is a well-known institution for Maritime studies. IMU Kochi offers five academic programmes across Science and Management streams in Logistics, Transportation, Port Management and similar Maritime disciplines. 

IMU Kochi only offers one specialisation in the BTech course, i.e., Marine Engineering. Further, the course is divided into eight semesters and offered in full-time mode. The minimum is Class 12 in PCM with at least an aggregate of 60% and a minimum of 50% marks in English in Class 10 & 12. A 5% relaxation is given to SC/ ST candidates.

IMU CET 2026 admit card is expected to be released in May 2026. The admission authority releases the IMU CET admit card online for eligible candidates. Candidates can download the IMU CET admit card by using their login credentials. Details regarding the exam date, timings, venue, guidelines, and more are released through the admit card of IMU CET. While reporting to the exam center, the candidates are required to present their admit card and proof of identity.

In IMU about 70% of students are placed in many streams like MBA and Nautical Field. The IMU CET online application form is expected to be released soon. The official date for application form and other events will be announced by the Indian Martime University. Candidates can apply for IMU CET 2026 through online mode only. The link is made available on IMU’s website. The IMU CET online application form consists of three portions:

Candidates have to fill in these three portions. Once the payment is successful, the candidate’s dashboard will appear, from which they can download the filled-in application.

To apply for BTech IT, the applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements: Candidates must pass their 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of 50 percent marks from a recognised institution. They must have majored in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in high school.The qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students is expected to be 89.75, while for GEN (EWS category) students it is 78.21. For OBC-NCL students, the expected cutoff is 74.31, while for SC students it is expected to be 54 and for ST students, it is expected to be 44.Majority of companies won't even care about marks in 12th.
