Yes, a BSc graduate with a valid GATE score can potentially get into the M.Tech programme in Earth and Climate Science at IISc Bangalore. IISc Bangalore accepts candidates with a 4-year BSc degree for some M.Tech programs, and the GATE score is a key factor in the selection process. GATE Eligibility:A BSc degree, especially a 4-year one, can be a valid qualification for GATE, and subsequently, for M.Tech admissions at IISc. IISc's Acceptance:IISc, like some other IITs, is increasingly accepting students with 4-year BSc degrees into their M.Tech programs, especially those with strong GATE scores. Specific Requirements:While a GATE score is a significant factor, IISc may also consider other aspects like your academic record (including CAM - Career Analysis Marks), performance in any interview or written test, and the specific requirements of the Earth and Climate Science program.

Yes, IISc Bangalore is said to be harder than IITs in some of the programs, particularly in admission and in the academic aspects. The institute is distinguished by paying high emphasis on research, innovation, and academic excellence. Only the candidates in the highest percentile in exams such as JEE Advanced, GATE, JAM, or KVPY are accepted in IISc. It is more difficult than most of the IITs as it has its recognition globally and because of its high patent record as well as its emphasis on in-depth scientific knowledge.
