National Law University Delhi LLB Eligibility & Highlights 2026
NLU LLM is a full-time programme that lasts one year. The postgraduate level course is also offered full-time and has two academic semesters. Further, NLU also offers a joint LLM/MA in Intellectual Property Law and Management. The LLM programmes are non-residential.
National Law University Delhi LLM admission is entrance-based. The university accepts All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) exam to get admitted to the LLM course. CLAT score is also not acceptable for admission to NLU Delhi. The students are shortlisted based on the merit of the entrance exam and the academic qualifications of the students. Candidates must apply for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) exam, whose applications have already begun. For National Law University, Delhi LLM dates are subject to the AILET Exam Dates. The AILET exam application has begun. NLU Delhi's LLM admission for academic session requires taking the AILET exam, with the entrance exam held in December. It is not possible to get admission in NLU Delhi without a valid AILET score. The university does not accept any other entrance exam scores or consider any other factors for admission. AILET is the only entrance exam accepted for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at NLU Delhi. The cutoff scores for AILET are released each year.
The selection of the candidates for LLM will be based on the AILET score followed by university counselling. Candidates must apply for the AILET exam to get admitted to the LLM course. The university conducts AILET counseling based on the rank list released at the time of the result.
