My own IGDTUW experience.
Placements: Almost 70%-80% of students are placed in internships for the third year. The top roles offered are SDE intern, Adapt intern, etc. Top recruiting companies are Wells Fargo and ServiceNow. The highest package, I guess, is 1.5 LPA for an intern, Rs. 45,000 minimum.
Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi connection, and it works well. Overall, the classrooms are decent and air-conditioned, and the library is also pretty good. The quality of facilities in the hostel is good. They provide medical facilities, a mess, and everything. My favourite spot is the library.
Faculty: Teachers are pretty helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are helpful in solving any doubts related to the curriculum. The semester exams are pretty decent, and there is an overall pass percentage of like 90%. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.

Good placement, good infrastructure (not as good as other colleges).
Placements: Around 70% students, who were eligible to sit in placements, got placed last year. The highest package is around 50 LPA, and the lowest can be expected as 3 LPA-4 LPA. The off-campus placement has even offered a 1 crore per annum package to a student. Internships are offered only to CSE students most of the time. However, the average stipend is around Rs. 30,000, but not all the students get internships on campus. The role you get solely depends on your skill level and your interview.
Infrastructure: The college does not have a huge campus area, but it is fine. Washrooms, rooms, ground, and labs are cleaned, proper lighting, AC rooms, titles over the floor and walls. Wi-Fi works well, the library is also well-maintained, and different types of books are available. However, the condition of the hostel is not very good, as the building is old, but the management tries to do everything to make it comfortable for the students. Mess food is also fine, the canteen menu is not too lengthy, but momos and spring rolls are tasty for sure.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, except for some of the guest faculty members. Most of the teachers are experienced, and their teaching style and knowledge are very impressive. Curriculum is relevant and focuses on making students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult, but you have to give time to academics apart from learning skills. Even if you start 15 days before exams with full dedication, you can ace the exam easily. A CGPA of 5 or 45 marks out of 100 is the passing criteria for each subject.
Other: I chose CSE because this college provides a good placement rate for the CSE and IT branches. It is better than choosing a lower branch in another college. I think there should be more internship offers on the campus, so students do not have to search for internships. Annual fest Tarangana is held every year. Apart from this fest, many other activities and societies make the environment cheerful throughout the year. There are various sports clubs, dance clubs, singing clubs, and many more available.

Reviewing my college IGDTUW.
Placements: The placement is very good here, and many companies visit this college. Even before placement, all the companies visit this college to guide students and help them to prepare for the interview and the selection process, and it is called pre-placement talks, which definitely gives college students an edge over those students who are appearing from outside the college.
Infrastructure: The hostel is average. They provide basics like AC, decent food, decent water to drink, and basic rooms are small, washing machines are 2 per washroom, but not all of them work, but some do, which teaches you patience. The hostel timings are very strict. You have to be in the hostel till 8:00 PM, but if you want to go to the college computer lab, then you can stay there till 11:00 PM.
Faculty: Faculty are good, kind, and helpful to students. Each teacher has assistant teachers, and if the subject includes a lab, then a lab teacher is also available to help. Mostly, labs are not too luxurious, but they have sufficient equipment. The exams are not so different, but you need to work for around 4-5 hours daily.

IGDTUW offers a balanced college experience with scope to grow if you use opportunities well.
Placements: For batch 2024, B.Tech CSE at IGDTUW, 77% of students got placed, with the highest package of 56 LPA, and the average package is 25.15 LPA. Internships are secured by most third & fourth-year students via companies like Microsoft, Adobe, JP Morgan, etc., with roles mostly in software dev, backed, cloud, and data analysis.
Infrastructure: IGDTUW has decent Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. The hostel is basic with average mess food, the canteen is okay, medical help is limited, and sports facilities exist but need better upkeep. Overall, the infrastructure is functional but not exceptional.
Faculty: Teachers at IGDTUW are generally good and supportive, with most being knowledgeable in their fields. The curriculum is moderate, covering relevant topics but requiring self-learning for industry readiness. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and pass rates are usually good.

College has good placements with a decent curriculum. But the infrastructure needs improvement.
Placements: Placements for CS and related branches at IGDTUW are outstanding, while for ECE, ECE AI, and MAE, they are decent. About 50% of students are getting placed. The average package is 18 LPA, with the highest at 1 crore (MotorQ) and the lowest is 4 LPA - 5 LPA. In ECE, the highest is 56 LPA (Adobe). Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and Morgan Stanley, with internships at Google and BNY Mellon. Top role offered is SDE.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at IGDTUW is satisfactory but has scope for improvement. Wi-Fi works well in the academic blocks but is inconsistent in hostels and some areas. Labs are functional but could be better equipped. Classrooms in ECE and CSE generally lack air-conditioning, which can be challenging during peak summers. Library provides good resources but often falls short on seating capacity during exams. Campus has a spacious ground for sports and activities. Although I haven't stayed in the hostel, friends share that the food quality is decent and the rooms, though slightly small, are manageable.
Faculty: Faculty members at IGDTUW are decent overall. Some professors are highly knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable, while a few are average in their teaching methods. The curriculum for ECE AI is quite relevant and keeps students industry-ready, as it includes computer science-related subjects along with core electronics. Subjects like artificial intelligence and data science are part of the curriculum, which adds great value. Semester exams are moderately difficult and can be managed with regular preparation. The pass percentage in most subjects remains above 95%, ensuring that students perform well with consistent effort.
Other: College is well-connected, with the Kashmere Gate metro station just 5-7 minutes away, making it very convenient for daily travel. IGDTUW hosts Taarangana, its annual cultural fest, which is conducted on a grand scale and draws huge participation. In addition, university supports academic excellence by offering scholarships to branch toppers, which motivates students to perform well.

If you want placement then definitely go for it.
Placements: Above 75% of students got placed. 56 LPA is the highest package, and 20 LPA is the average package. Last year mechanical branch got the highest package so it totally depends on your skills and not on your branch for placements. Top roles offered are DSA, web developer, AI ML, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is like average because only few classes have AC in them. The campus is very small. Hostel is not good at all. Lab classes have AC but others are non-AC. But in 2025 IT block will have AC in all the rooms in which the classes for CS, AI, IT, and AIML take place.
Faculty: Faculty members are mostly educated but don't know how to teach. They just want their salary and nothing else. The course curriculum is mostly relevant as it adds very much coding subjects. Its not difficult to secure good CGPA in college but you have to put extra effort, if you are in the branches like ECE or MAE types.

Spot rounds are really unpredictable. Their cut offs range from 1,00,000 rank cutoff to 50,000 cut offs too. It solely depends on luck and the trend of cut off going that year. Also, the number of seats available are one of the most important factors. If number of seats available are more than cut-off might increase from the last round cut-off, otherwise the cut-off will be same as the last round or in some cases even less.
