Review of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW).
Placements: The placement ratio in my branch (MAE) is quite impressive, and 60-70% of students are getting placed. Even for core mechanical roles, the minimum package does not go below 5 LPA. In fact, I would say that the placement scenario for the mechanical course here is better than that of the CSE branch in many private colleges.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are quite decent, with well-maintained classrooms equipped with AC. Currently, the only exception is the mechanical branch, which doesn't have AC yet. The hostel food used to be exceptionally tasty. Even though I am a day scholar, I often eat with my friends in the hostel because the food is genuinely delicious.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Most of them have completed their PhDs from premier institutes like IITs, so there is no doubt about the depth of their expertise. Semester exams are generally not too difficult to score well on. However, if we are in branches like Mechanical or ECE, we may need to put in a bit more effort compared to other branches. They say that with consistent hard work, even achieving a 10 CGPA is absolutely possible.
Other: Campus life is quite good. Although the campus area is relatively small compared to other JAC colleges. In my branch, there are around 120-130 students. The nearest metro station is near Kashmere Gate, and it takes barely 5 minutes to reach the college from there. The college has a wide range of societies, and we are encouraged to explore and get involved in as many as we would like. Personally, I have not been very active in other societies, as I have primarily focused on contributing to the training and placement cell, which is not categorised as a society.

It has a decent campus and faculty, but limited core opportunities for mechanical students.
Placements: In my course, almost everyone got placed. The highest package is 1 crore per annum. The average package is 20 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. Roles like software engineering and software development are offered. Approximately 2% of students got internships at Microsoft, and 36 students at Wells Fargo. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Wells Fargo, Infosys, Tata Motors, and Tata Advanced.
Infrastructure: There are two hostels, Krishna and Kaveri, with accommodation for 300 to 400 students. Rooms are allotted on the basis of distance. There is a facility of Wi-Fi and a common room for study purposes. The food quality is good. A variety of food is served for breakfast. Milk is constant, and cornflakes. There is no foundation.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They explain very well. Lab sessions are also conducted, and they use a board for teaching purposes. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Some companies allow for an industrial visit. There is no difficulty in college exams. The pass percentage in every subject is 45%.
Other: There are good placements in my course, so I chose it. There is hands-on experience in labs and cutting-edge technologies. Lab equipment is outdated, and the course structure is almost theoretical. Some events are organised by the college. There are 3 fests, i.e., technical, cultural, and sports fest. There is good connectivity 500 meters from the old Delhi railway station. Many scholarships are available.

Prominent very good college with great placements and faculty members are very good and supportive.
Placements: At least 75-80% of students are placed. Rest of the students went for their higher studies. Top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Hero Honda, Flipkart, Amazon, Microsoft, Mortell, Technip, ITC, and Adobe. Top roles offered are designing, management, production management, and data handling. The highest package is 55 LPA, the lowest is 6 LPA, and average is 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Many students got internships in DRDO, at least 79-75% got internships in the above mentioned companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average not very luxury but good for the students. It provides free Wi-Fi for the students. Labs are very well maintained. Classrooms are very spacious, not all the classes are air-conditioned but many of them are. Library is very good. We have 24X7 open computer center. I am a day scholar so I can't say anything.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They are very supportive in helping students with their doubts, projects, and career related problems. They are very approachable as well. They are very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They provide students with very good notes as well. Course curriculum is very relevant and makes students industry-ready as well as interesting. Semester exams are quite difficult, one has to prepare very well.

The college has great learning and placement support.
Placements: Around 80-85 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 40 LPA. The average is around 6-7 LPA, and the lowest is 3.4 - 4 LPA. Top recruiters include Adobe, TCS Digital, Maruti Suzuki, ZS Associates, Hero, Siemens Energy, and Infosys. Some students also secured public sector roles through GATE. Approximately 40-50 percent of students secured internships either through campus or external companies like DRDO, Siemens, Celebal Technology, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs. I interned at Celebal Technology as a software engineer intern. The top roles are software developer, data analyst, business analyst and core Engineering roles.
Infrastructure: The MAE Department at IGDTUW is well-equipped with modern labs, smart classrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The library is spacious, with access to technical books and digital journals. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, laundry services and 24/7 security. The mess food is hygienic and improves with feedback, while the canteen offers a variety of snacks and meals. Medical facilities include an on-campus dispensary with a visiting doctor. The campus also provides good sports infrastructure, including courts for badminton, basketball and a well maintained sports ground.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both mechanical fundamentals and aspects of automation. Semester exams are moderately difficult. With regular study and understanding of concepts, students can score well. 80-90 percent of students pass.
Other: The campus is fully equipped with all the amenities, and being called a small campus, the facilities are no less than those of larger area campuses. There is so much greenery everywhere, showcasing great love for nature, and it helps students relieve themselves and get healed by nature. The college provides all kinds of fests, such as technical fest, cultural fest, sports fest, hackathons, seminars, farewell meet, and alumni meet.

Sometimes faculty members are dissatisfied and give fewer marks, but the placement opportunities.
Placements: The placement rate was 95% for MAE for the batch of 2024. The highest package offered was 32 LPA, and the average package was 8.24 LPA. Companies like MotorQ, Adobe, Uber, Google, BMW, and others were the top recruiters offering placements on campus.
Infrastructure: Hostels in IGDTUW have mixed reviews. The ACs, Wi-Fi, libraries, and other facilities are quite good, but some say that laptops or many valuable or expensive items sometimes get stolen. However, this depends on the individual. Overall, the hostels are pretty good. Facilities, safety, cleanliness, and security are maintained well, especially in the girls’ hostels.
Faculty: es, the teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. The curriculum is well followed and relevant to the latest industry standards. The pass percentage is nearly 85-90%. Exams are generally not very difficult; you just need to cover the topics in the syllabus and review the notes provided by the teachers, which will help during exams.
Other: Events and festivals are really good. We had Mohit Chauhan this year at the college. There are scholarship facilities for students, as well as education loans. The student crowd is very nice—you just need to find people who match your vibe, and you're good to go :). The competitions are good.

My college is worth taking part in.
Placements: In my college, many students get high-paying jobs for placements on campus. Even the internships are amazing. The average salary is 80 LPA - 90 LPA, and the maximum salary is 1 crore. This year a student in 4th year CSE AI got 1 crore package, and it thus motivated others.
Infrastructure: I could say that the food and infrastructure of the campus are not that good. Buildings are very old and no ACs are there, especially in my branch of mechanical. Old benches and hostel are way worse. The food is very unhygienic and also not very healthy looking.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very nice and strict thus improving growth and renovation in us. They try their best to help us learn also. The exams here are not so difficult, especially for first years and 9 GPAs can be achieved very easily. I am very happy with my college marks and CGPA.
Other: The fest is always incredible. This year Mohit Chaun made is awesome presence by singing amazing song.

Inshorts of IGDTUW.
Placements: During recession time, around 1 in 3 students are placed, but the highest package is around 1.2 crores with CTC, and the average package of each branch is around 24-25 LPA, depending on the skills and CGPA of the students. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Motorq are top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not up to date and needs to be upgraded. The hostel mess food is pathetic, with no hygiene. The hostel Vardaan is soo sophisticated, and you are not even allowed to enter the hostel late at night. Even non-hosteller girls cannot enter their friends' rooms.
Faculty: The semester exams are not that tough, but it totally depends on the teacher you are assigned. Some faculty members are nice and provide full support and help during exams. The course is totally industry-based and prepares one properly for corporate life.

IGDTUW is one of the best engineering college.
Placements: Around 85 to 90 percent of students in MAE secured placements. The highest package offered was INR 32 LPA, and overall the highest package of college is 82 LPA with an average of INR 19.15 LPA. Top recruiters include OLX, TCS, and Infosys. Many students secured internships at reputed firms like L&T. Key roles are design, automation, and R&D engineer.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is well-equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, modern labs, and well-maintained classrooms. The library is spacious with a wide collection of resources. Hostel facilities are decent, with nutritious mess food, adequate medical support, and sports opportunities.
Faculty: The faculty in MAE at IGDTUW is knowledgeable and supportive, with good teaching quality. The curriculum is industry-oriented, offering practical exposure through labs and projects. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is high with proper effort.
Other: I chose this course because of my JEE rank, although this branch is very good as it also allows you to sit in placement for teaching. Well, the building of my branch could be better; there are many events happening here and you can also participate in societies. It will enhance your personality and the alumni network of my college is also good.
