If I have to summarize my college, it is good and I love my college.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. Around 80 percent of students are placed in good companies from our college. The highest package goes up to 30 LPA. As far as I know, the lowest package is 6 LPA and the average package is 13 LPA. Top recruiters are Google, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and Adobe. Around 40 percent of students got internships, mainly in SDE roles.
Infrastructure: Our college is full of facilities, which makes my college life very good. I enjoy my college life a lot and it is a very good college. The infrastructure is also good, and I like this college very much. If I talk about my college quality, then its quality in each term is nice.
Faculty: My teachers are very helpful. To be very frank, the type of teachers I had dreamed of are the teachers I have here. I like the way they teach topics with full clarity. This course curriculum is relevant up to a certain limit. It makes students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 40, and exams are good, neither too difficult nor too easy.
Other: I like this course as I love computer engineering. I have a high curiosity regarding new technologies, and I think this course suits my interest. I think the curriculum mainly focuses on computer engineering and not on AI, ML, and other new technologies. There are no fests in college, but there are plenty of events.

I have a good experience. I made great friends. I am satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: I am from the 2025 batch. Around 75-80% of students got placed in the companies. Some pretty good and decent companies showed up in the placements. The highest package offered by Google for 3 students is 23 LPA. Roles offered are data analytics and software developers. The top companies that hire students from our course are Google, ION, TCS, and Wipro. Whenever students get an internship opportunity, then no NOC is ever provided before the 7th semester.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi does not work. Sometimes the class roof has fallen. On rainy days, the college fills with water. No students are informed about the holiday as well as the teachers make it compulsory for students to come.
Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful. But most of the subjects in the course are not really helpful and really outdated. Some teachers are also very arrogant especially those teachers that are not teaching subjects and are related to the courses like Biology and English.
Other: There is a high opportunity for placements, so I chose it. Some activities organises fests and club activities. It has clubs like sports, music, red cross, and environment. Ethnic Day is also organised. It was a good experience.

Good infrastructure, excellent faculty, but bad crowd.
Placements: The placement is average as there are fewer students who are able to clear the eligibility criteria of the majority of the companies. So, because of the lower number of eligible students, fewer companies come for campus placement. However, the college provides an off-campus placement feature where they share links for various drives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also average, but if you compare it with the price at which they are providing the facilities, it is quite good. The campus of the college is not that big. Hostels are good. The boys' hostel is within the campus itself, and the girls' hostel is outside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty is really good. They try to discipline people whenever they want and whenever they are. In terms of exams, there are three exams before the final main University exam: two sessionals and one Pre-University test, which are considered internal exams for internal marking.

Review of J. C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA.
Placements: Placements are average. It provides outside placement links for students who are eligible, but on-campus placements are quite average.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the hostel is quite nice as compared to the price at which they are providing it. The infrastructure of the college is not great, but not bad at the same time. The hostel structure is quite great, and they also provide a lot of discipline among students.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and very much study-oriented. There are not much of curriculum activities in the college as it primarily focuses on the study part of the college. There are three internal exams, one test, 2nd sessional, and a final exam, which is compulsory to pass.

An excellent college with supportive faculty, good placements, and impressive infrastructure.
Placements: Around 85 percent of students are placed from our course. The highest package is 18 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA and the average is around 7 LPA. The top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Capgemini. About 70 percent get internships mainly at Infosys and startups. The top roles are Software Developer, Analyst and Consultant.
Infrastructure: The campus has good infrastructure with high-speed Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, modern classrooms, and a large library. The hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, good medical support, and sports amenities. The mess food quality is average but hygienic. Our college provides good infrastructure with fast Wi-Fi, well-maintained labs, modern classrooms, and a fully stocked library. Hostels are neat and secure, with decent food in the mess. The medical facilities, sports areas, and indoor games are also available.

Review of my college.
Placements: Not many students have been placed. Placements are not that nice because no companies come to the campus for the placements. Only small startups come for the placement on campus, but sometimes Skill-Lync comes for a campus placement, so that students can go for a campus placement.
Infrastructure: The faculty and the infrastructure are quite good compared to the price of the course and the hostel. The faculty members are also really good compared to the price of the hostel, and the faculty is really educated and well-maintained.
Faculty: There are four exams taken in a semester, 3 of which are internal, and the last one is the final exam, which is taken at the main university and is compulsory to pass. The internal exams are not compulsory to pass, but they affect the internal marking by the college faculty in the final report.

Satisfied with the college but dissatisfied with the infrastructure, campus size, and facilities.
Placements: The average placement rate is 83.22%. The highest package provided is 24 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, Kart, etc. The top roles offered in my course are software engineer, developer, and designer. 75% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average, library has more than 5000 books, magazines, and news articles. The hostel is quite average according to infrastructure and facilities. Labs are in moderate conditions. Few of them are air-conditioned. The quality of food available in a hostel is average.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant but can be improvised. Semester exams are moderate and the pass percentage is 70%. Teachers use advanced technology in teaching so students learn creatively.

I am satisfied with the college, good companies are coming with packages of more than 10 LPA
Placements: Earlier, placements were good, but after COVID, only approximately 25% of the students managed to get placed. This year, the highest package was 33 LPA while the lowest was 4 LPA. Google was the top recruiting company. The average package stands at 7 LPA. Companies that participated in the recruitment include Josh, Samsung, Google, and several others; however, they typically recruited only 1-2 students each, which contributed to the low placement percentage, although the average package remains decent. The top roles offered were in software development.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not very good. The Wi-Fi speed is average, and the classrooms lack air conditioning. Additionally, the reading room is quite small, accommodating only one branch of students at a time. The library is decent but also limited in size, and there is no hostel facility for boys. In the past, there were hostels for first-year boys, but from 2022 onwards, this facility has been discontinued. While sports and games are available, there is no mess service due to the absence of hostels. The canteen is present, but the quality of food is not satisfactory.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and good at what they do, but we often rely on YouTube for our studies. The course content does not seem to align well with industry demands, leaving students less prepared for the job market. The semester exams are not too difficult, although they can sometimes be tricky. The criteria for passing is a minimum of 30 marks out of 75, and for internal assessments, it's at least 10 marks.
Other: I chose this course because it is in high demand, and I have a strong interest in computer engineering as well as the requisite knowledge. The coursework should include subjects that make students industry-ready. Scholarships are available for EWS, SC, or ST candidates, and there is also an NCC facility. Unfortunately, there are very few places to visit or explore nearby, and the campus itself is quite small.
