To get admission to a two-year MBA course, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Admission to the MBA is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are offered admission based on a valid score obtained in the Andhra Pradesh ICET exam. This is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. Further, candidates who qualify for this exam are called for the counselling process. However, candidates can always opt for other entrance exams for admission to MBA courses at JNTUK-affiliated colleges.
JNTUK has not yet released the commencement date of MBA classes for the new academic session, i.e., 2026. But, according to last year's academic calendar, classes for MBA courses have started in August. Hence, for this year, the classes might begin on similar dates to the previous batch.
Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) is responsible for conducting MBA admissions in Andhra Pradesh. 95% of government and private management colleges in Andhra Pradesh accept state-level entrance tests score for MBA admission. Therefore, it is mandatory for MBA aspirants to secure a valid scores in APICET.
Basic Requirements: In order to get MBA admission in SMS, JNTUK the aspirants must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised college or university with 45 – 50% marks.
APICET 2026 registration process has commenced online at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in on February 05, 2026. Candidates can fill the AP ICET application form online (with late fee) on or before the last date. The last date for Andhra Pradesh ICET 2026 registrations is March 17, 2026. Registrations with late fee INR 1000, 2000, 4000, 10000 will commence after the registration without late fee ends. Candidates not registering on or before the prescribed date will not be given further chances to apply for the AP ICET exam. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the Andhra Pradesh ICET application form 2026 important dates to know the last date of registrations with and without late fees. Only candidates who will register for the AP ICET exam will be able to download the admit card when released.
At JNTU, student needs to fulfil one of the following requirements:
1) Category for the SC/ST: candidate parents' annual income shall not be more tan INR 2.5 lakh
2) The student should fall between 100 and 110.
3) Reserved category: 500 is the minimum rank required.
No, for admission to MBA at JNTUK, an aspirant must have a valid TS Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) score. Only the students with an exam score are shortlisted and called for counselling following which seats are allotted. There is no other way to get admission to a full-time MBA course at JNTUK. JNTU Kakinada offers a postgraduate degree in management as a full-time residential programme spread over four semesters. In the first year the students are provided exposure to core management subjects. The MBA is available in various elective streams such as:

AP EAMCET application form 2026 will be available with a late fee till April 3, 2026. The last date to apply for Andhra Pradesh EAPCET 2026 without a late fee is March 17, 2026. The late fee amount will vary depending on the date of submission of the application form.
