AP ICET 2025 syllabus consists of three sections, viz., Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Candidates preparing for the exam should have a thorough understanding of the APICET syllabus and key topics. The APICET is conducted for admission to MBA and MCA programs in colleges across Andhra Pradesh, with the syllabus being the same for both courses.

As per the AP ICET 2025 exam pattern, the test will have a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates planning to appear for the exam must familiarise themselves with the detailed syllabus and exam pattern. The AP ICET 2025 exam was held in offline mode.

Q:   What is the syllabus for Andhra Pradesh ICET?
A: 

AP ICET syllabus is divided into three sections. Candidates preparing for exam must check the detailed syllabus to device effective preparation strategy. Refer the table below to know the Andhra Pradesh ICET 2025 syllabus:

Section-A: Analytical Ability

Questions based on data is in the form of two statements labelled as (i) and (ii )

Problem Solving

  • Sequences and Series (Analogies of numbers and alphabet, completion of blank spaces following the pattern in a:b:c:d relationship, missing number in a sequence or a series)
  • Data Analysis (Data will be given in aTable, Graph, Bar diagram, Pie Chart, Venn Diagram or Passage and one need to analyse the questions pertaining to the data)
  • Coding and Decoding Problems (A code pattern of English Alphabet will be given. A given word or a group of letters are to be coded or decoded on the basis of given code or codes)
  • Date, Time & Arrangement Problems (Calendar problems, clock problems, blood relationships, arrivals, departures and schedules, seating arrangements, symbol and notation interpretation.

Section-B: Mathematical Ability

Laws of Indices, ratio and proportion, surds, numbers and divisibility, LCM, GCD, rational numbers, ordering,  percentages, profit and loss, partnership, pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes,  mensuration, modular arithmetic

Algebraical and Geometrical Ability

  • Statements, truth tables, implication converse and inverse, tautologies-sets, relations & functions, applications – equation of a line in different forms.
  • Trigonometry - Trigonometric ratios, Trigonometric ratios of standard angles, (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°): Trigonometric identities: sample problems on heights and distances, polynomials, remainder theorem & consequences, linear equations & expressions, progressions, binomial theorem, matrices, notion of a limit and derivative, plane geometry - lines, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, coordinate geometry-distance between points.

Statistical Ability

Frequency distributions, mean, median, mode, standard deviation, correlation, probability

Business and computer terminology (Identification of basic terminology and concepts in computer and business contexts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc.)

Functional grammar  (Understand the use of grammar in day-to-day communication as well as in business contexts)

Part 4

Reading comprehension  (3 passages)

Q:   Who conducts Andhra Pradesh ICET exam?
A: 

Adnra University, Visakhapatnam will conduct AP ICET 2025 exam. Andhra Pradesh ICET 2025 exam conducting body on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has been announced. Andhra Pradesh ICET scores are accepted for admission to MBA/MCA programme of universities in Andhra Pradesh. The exam is usually conducted across 25 districts of Andhra Pradesh. The medium of the question paper is Telugu/English. The exam is conducted once in a year.

The Andhra Pradesh ICET 2025 examination medium will vary from section to section:

  • Section-A (Analytical Ability): English and Telugu
  • Section-B (Mathematical Ability): English and Telugu
  • Section-C (Communication Ability): English only
Q:   When should I start preparing for APICET exam?
A: 
Candidates willing to appear for the Andhra Pradesh ICET exam must start the preparations six months before the examination date. Candidates starting early to prepare for Andhra Pradesh ICET exam will have time to prepare in ease. Candidates must start with focusing on the basics and fundamentals and then slowly increasing the pace and level of the preparation. Candidates must ensure to chalk time table to cover all the subjects and topics as per their priority.
Q:   How many answer choices will be there in the APICET exam?
A: 
Each question will contain four answer choices in the APICET exam. Most of the answers will be similar and it is therefore important for test-takers to analyse the question and then select one option out of the four given options. The test duration of the APICET exam is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. Within this slated time, test-takers need to solve 200 questions in total. Andhra Pradesh ICET exam will be Computer Based Test, candidates must adhere to the prescribed guidelines to answer the questions.
