The AP PGECET 2024 facility for correcting a submitted application form will be available to candidates. However, once the due date is passed, no changes will be allowed. The candidates have to make the necessary corrections within the correction window. Only certain sections of the form, such as signature and photograph, qualifying examination details, place of study, year of passing, mother's name, place of birth, etc., can be edited. AP PGECET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for writing the test:

Candidates should meet the given below requirements to be able to write the exam:

  • Candidates should be Indian nationals.
  • They should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
  • Candidates must hold a relevant Bachelors qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks ( 45% in case of reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent thereto for admission into the relevant ME/ MTech/ MPharma courses into the Courses corresponding to the Degrees.
  • Candidates pursuing a BTech course or its equivalent/BPharm course will be eligible for admission to relevant ME/MTech/ MPharma courses only if they have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of degree by the concerned university on the date of counselling for admission into the colleges.

Eligibility for admission to ME/ MTech/ MPharm:

  • Candidates should have qualified AP PGECET and in the test paper relevant to the course they seek admission.
  • Mere appearance does not entitle students to be considered for admission to their preferred course unless they satisfy the eligibility requirements and other related criteria.
  • Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats will be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amen
  • While filling seats in colleges, first preference will be given to aspirants who have qualified for GATE / GPAT based on their test scores. The remaining seats will be filled with candidates qualified in AP PGECET as per their merit ranks.

Q:   Who can apply for Andhra Pradesh PGECET 2024?

A:

Those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for the exam. The candidate must be an Indian national residing in Andhra Pradesh. The candidate should satisfy local/non-local residing status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, as subsequently amended. The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant field with 50% marks (unreserved category). The reserved category students must score 45% marks.

It is important for a candidate to qualify for the Andhra Pradesh PGECET and test papers relevant to the course to which they want admission. It is necessary to satisfy the eligibility requirements and other relevant criteria. Admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates, and the remaining 15% of the seats will be unreserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974. Also, during filling seats in colleges, first preference will be given to candidates who have qualified for GATE or GPAT based on test scores. The remaining seats will be filled with candidates qualified for the Andhra Pradesh PGECET based on their merit ranks.

The Andhra Pradesh PGECET 2024 application form is available online on the official website. The completed application form will be submitted by the candidate before the deadline. The last date to apply for AP PGECET 2024 was April 20, 2024. The candidates have to make sure that the details filled out on the application form are correct. The candidates have to check the eligibility criteria and make sure that they fulfil them before filling out the application form.

 

Q:   Are the corrections to the Andhra Pradesh PGECET application form done online or offline?

The facility for correcting the submitted Andhra Pradesh PGECET application form will be available for candidates. Also, if the due date is passed, the candidate can't make any changes. Therefore, candidates need to make the necessary corrections within the correction window. The correction of online application data wil lbe submitted by the candidate from May 8 to May 14, 2024. Sections that could be edited are signature and photograph, qualifying examination details, place of study, year of passing, mother's name, place of birth, etc. Candidates need to follow the instructions on how to make corrections, and it is done online.

 

Q:   What are the dates for Andhra Pradesh PGECET 2024 registrations for phase 2?

A:

The authority will release the Andhra Pradesh PGECET 2024 counselling schedule for phase 2. The notification will be released tentatively in September 2024. The registration dates for GATE/GPAT students will be in October 2024 (tentatively). Web counselling options will also be available in October 2024 for GATE/GPAT candidates, and for Andhra Pradesh PGECET candidates, it will be from September to October 2024 (tentatively).
